I know you are supposed to and I do not and then but it's hard enough to get in a good brushing let alone a good brushing and flossing. How often do you floss your LO's teeth? Any tips on getting it done right but quick? My LO is so squirmy!

Our dentist hasn't said anything about flossing, it's a good day if I can get her to brush her teeth "good" twice a day. She hate it, it's a struggle and I can't imagine trying to floss.

Every night because food is always stuck in their lower teeth... LO 1 doesn't fight it anymore but it is a struggle with LO 2. I usually do it after her bath when she is wrapped up in a towel and on her changing pad to minimize her flailing. We use animal floss sticks.

We started at age 5 - however my kids have gaps so the only place that really needs to be flossed is the molars
eta: my 4yr old flosses because she sees her big brother do it

The only time I've flossed his teeth has been when a bit of food was stuck and wouldn't come out with brushing. He was surprisingly cooperative, I think because I gave him a piece of floss to play with while I did it.

Someone on HB mentioned flossing, so I thought I'd give it a shot with my 14 month old. I bought those little floss pickers for tots...to my huge surprise, he willingly lets me floss his teeth! I'm sure it's a stage and in another month he will likely pitch a fit about it though.

our dentist gave us some toddler "handles" for floss, but after a couple of half-hearted attempts when LO was about 18 months old, i put them away and have completely forgotten about them.

We started about 18 months. Luckily, LO was totally obsessed with floss for awhile (to the point where it was the best bribe we had), so he wanted to floss constantly. Now we floss 2-3 times a week. When I remember. He no longer loves it, but he's cool with it.

I try to floss her teeth every night. It mostly gets done every other night for sure.

We use "flossers", these floss pick things. I can't imagine just using plain floss and my fingers. DS actually loves to do it on his own. I don't do it enough but a lot of his teeth have gaps so it's not like he's got food stuck in them.
