We don't. I think our busiest year it was 50 kids? It's supposed to be cold (again) on Halloween this year, so probably thirty kids or less!

No. When we bought our house, I was so excited for Halloween because I thought living in a house in the city, we'd get a TON of kids, but we only get around 20-30.

I get 200+ kids and since it's a Friday this year it's probably going to be more.

Last year was my first time living somewhere less rural and we got 120+ kids. I'm used to zero, lol. We ran out of treats! I made sure to buy more this time.

I don't know yet - we just moved here. But, we've got to have more than we did at our last house - we lived in the country and had no trick or treaters in 11 years. We bought a ton of candy so we better have a lot!

I get a lot. I sit outside because otherwise I would be opening my door constantly.

We get a ton. It's like they're bussed to our neighborhood. We usually just sit on our porch rather than constantly open the door.

we're in a townhouse on a busy street, in the middle of a bunch of commercial buildings. we've never had a trick or treater.

We go to a friend's house on Halloween! I don't think we would get a lot!

Yes! We get a ton! We live in a neighborhood that is a giant circle and it's off of a busy road. Some parents will drop their kids off in our neighborhood to walk around since it's safe and again...one giant circle!

We usually get a ton (100+) but last year was really slow. We maybe got half that? But it was rainy so that was probably why. I'm hoping our numbers are up again this year because I love seeing all the kids in costume!

It is really fickle. Some years we get a ton and some years I dump a whole bowl of candy into one kids bag.
Hopefully this year we will get a lot. It's Friday and it's supposed to be warmer than usual. Although, the cold never stopped me when I was a kid.

No, and it makes me so sad. We got six one year, and that's only because the same three hit out house twice! Our neighborhood is so boring.

Our condo building does trick or treating, but it's usually only about 20 kids.

I have no idea! Last year was the 1st Halloween we spent at our house, but we went out to buy a car haha.

A LOT. We usually buy 15+ bags of candy. I'm over it after an hour, honestly.

Last year was our first year in this house, but we were in my mom's neighborhood ToTing. I don't think it would be very busy, because its' a tiny neighborhood. We'll be at my mom's again this year. I love ToTing with Sadie, but I kind of wish I could pass out candy!

@Caly: Same! They get bused in here so there are thousands of kids in town. I usually hang out on a friend's porch.

We get 400+. We live in a really big housing plan and I think kids get dropped off here too!

Growing up we did. My parents' home is across the street from an elementary school and the kids dress up and have a costume parade on Halloween (or at least they did when I was a kid/in high school/college). So lots of kids would stop on their way home from school to kick off their trick or treating, plus we'd get a lot later in the day. My mom said they don't get as many any more though.
DH and I have never had ANY though. We've always lived in apartments and no kids were really around. This year I was so excited bc we had/have a house in a neighborhood full of kids, but we moved cross country and are back in a temporary apartment. I haven't seen one kid in the complex, but I still bought lots of candy just like I do every year - DH will make sure no candy goes to waste if there are no trick or treaters

I'm not sure! We have only been in our house for one previous Halloween and we weren't home for it. Guess we will see tomorrow -- I'd better run out and get some candy!

We just moved here, but we are told to expect a ton. Apparently, people come from other parts of town to trick-or-treat in our neighborhood.

Probably only a few. I bought way too much candy and then turned around and ATE way too much candy because I knew we would have so much left over! Whoops.

Oh yeah. Not only do we live in a big family-friendly neighborhood, we also have lots of kids driven in from nearby who don't live in communities. I love it.
wonderful pea / 17279 posts
We don't get too many. I bought enough candy for 46 children and that's each one getting one piece. We're probably going to have left overs.
