I've done it at times when I felt overwhelmed with other stuff, and I'll happily do it again when my next baby comes. Absofreakinglutely. Well worth the 8 dollar delivery charge.

@Ree723: Sorry only just seen this.. yes I live in north London although hoping to relocate somewhere a little greener soon! No I have never tipped a delivery person! I have always lived here and the only people I've ever known to be regularly tipped are waitresses/waiters. I imagine your delivery driver would be VERY pleasantly surprised if you offered one

@miramira: @Bubbles: Thanks ladies! That's what I thought but I just had a momentary freak out wondering if I've been wrong this whole time!

We use PeaPod (Stop&Shop) and do a pick-up order, which is a bit cheaper than delivery. I love it. I put in the order and my husband picks it up on his way home from work the next day. I love the process of shopping from home, which allows me to get the best bang for my buck. I can easily stick to my budget and I don't end up buying a lot of impulse items. The times when I have gone to the grocery store instead, I end up spending more. It is definitely worth the ($2.95) fee. Also, they seem to do a really good job choosing produce. I have never been disappointed in quality.

Got my first delivery today and it was awesome! It's from a locally owned supermarket and the quality was excellent. Just like what I've come to expect from this store.

How did your pick up turn out

@regberadaisy: Great! Only thing wrong was the milk was dated for that day, other than that it all looked great!
