I'm a member of one of those local mom Facebook groups and was surprised at the amount of moms who give their kids gifts (some a lot!) for Valentine's day. Absolutely no judgement, I just didn't know this was a "thing." I always figured my son would get little toys or cards at daycare/school as part of Valentine's cards exchanges, but not specifically from his parents. Maybe it's because we still have unopened gifts from Christmas. 😂

Eta: DS (who is 2) goes to my MIL's house where she usually has a small toy and a Valentine's day shirt for him to wear. He brings her flowers. She's a widow so he is her "valentine" and my husband and I get a chance to have dinner alone.
