I wouldn't call it a gift, but I usually get him a themed cookie or cupcake or something small like that.

I am trying to limit giving things and focus on experiences, I might start doing a dinner date or movie date in the future.

I mean, I got them a balloon from the dollar store and tied that to their chair this morning but I didn't get them anything. Oh yeah, I did pick up a cupcake for them too.

I like @looch: 's idea about doing dinner dates or something similar. I know both my boys would love some one on one time.

I got DD a small gift bag with plastic heart necklaces, a Minnie coloring book, and a Reese's heart chocolate. Nothing major

Yes, but just safe chocolate. We got them heart shaped chocolate lollipops and red no-nos (m&ms) from No Whey Chocolates.

I try to do a little something. This year they got little buckets with a book, a small heart shaped chocolate box and a balloon. Last year I did a card and a little stuffed animal for each.

I do. I know it's a hallmark holiday or whatever, but I have no problem giving some items to celebrate the day and love. LOL. I got them a cute card, some candy, a little fluffy animal and a blind bag

I also got a little flower arrangement and balloon to be delivered to DD at school

We painted Valentines for DH last night and we are going to make Valentines cookies today. I SAH so it’s not too hard to make a few days of heart and love themed days. But I haven’t bought anything for this specifically. Unless buying more flour because we ran out counts!

@Ajsmommy: Ooof, I disagree - my husband sent me flowers at work last year and I have never been so embarrassed. I had to go to reception and get them, and carry them through the atrium...it was my personal nightmare. I told him that I appreciated the gesture but never to do it again.

Although that being said, I'd be fine with him bringing some home...

I prefer to do an activity or a food treat. Yesterday we baked cookies for her friends at daycare. She got to help and do the sprinkles. We enjoyed one together afterwards. That's all we are doing.

I put a note and a chocolate covered strawberry in my 5yo's lunch today. I've got a nightgown, notecards, and a beanie boo for her tonight. The 1.5yo is getting a beanie boo, a book from the dollar store, and stickers. I have chocolate covered strawberries for dessert tonight!

No. My LO2's bday is two days prior so we ate too much cake and still have cake leftovers.

But my LO1 is 5. She'll get all the cookies and candy from school. My husband did leave her a vday card and small m&m's in her seat in the car before he left for work. Made her day!

I just got some candy (m&ms) and a little red car.

I got them each a chocolate covered marshmallow from the nice chocolate shop, a kinder surprise egg, and a light saber haha.

DH got DD some flowers (she is 1.5 and was sooo thrilled ) and ds some hot wheels cars. He just stopped on his way home from night shift and grabbed them.

I voted yes because I did this year, but in the last 2 years only did once. I bought each kid a book, although mainly because I use any excuse to buy new books.

My hubby and I don't even really celebrate valentine's day. I'm in the camp of not wanting hallmark to tell me to celebrate my so. We do nice things, buy small gifts, and have date nights all through the year.

My little got small things at preschool yesterday but I didn't send anything. Felt slightly bad but a lot of parents sent candy that I had to pry out of her hands so whatever

We give a little gift, usually a book. This year the baby got a board book and our older LO got a regular book along with a coloring book. We had both to give her at some point anyway.

I don't get him anything, but both parents send us gifts and I send Valentines to daycare for him to give out. I got nothing for DH (but reminded him that it was Ash Wednesday, so he shouldn't be splurging on anything for me either )

I got them pop up cards that my 4 year old has seen at Marshall’s, and gave them each a little thing I had bought them anyway (clearance leggings and socks). DH got them each a small gift from cvs. And I made cake pops- but Largely because I had all the ingredients as leftovers anyway. Not that the 4 year old needed them since she had ice cream Sunday’s at school!

We make it a point to wish everyone a Happy Valentine's Day, but we don't get LOs gifts. DH will get me flowers and I get him his photo calendar every year, but that's all.
