They are having a party at daycare so they're getting treats there.
I'm making a special "I Love You" dinner tonight and serving some of their favorite foods. Spaghetti with tiny meatballs, a fresh strawberry cake with Cool Whip icing, etc. I've been explaining to our 3.5 year old that Valentine's Day is "I Love You Day" so I'm just using it as an excuse to have a little more special family dinner tonight.

I was not going to but I got DD heart stickers and a my little pony at target to keep her busy during valentines dinner, but we had to cancel our reservations since I have a cold.

I didn’t get him a gift and not for lack of trying. Nothing inspired me at the dollar spot at Target. I did get him Starbucks banana bread, which is a treat. If he wasn’t so scared he could have the balloons that came with my flowers.

It's her birthday, so yes! But nothing specifically for Valentine's day. When we have another kids we will likely give them 1 something small like a valentine/love/heart themed book, socks, shirt etc. at breakfast with handwritten notes.

I didn’t this year because I’m pregnant and exhausted and didn’t think to order something online! Usually I use at as en excuse to buy him a gift though. I love buying him stuff.

@crazydoglady: Thats an adorable tradition!
We do. A small toy, a valentines themed book (this year it was dinosaur kisses-so cute), and some candy! Just something fun to do every year. Total cost = $15.

My husband brought the girls their own tiny bouquets (along with one for me). I "gifted" us all some dinner delivery,lol. DD1 wanted sushi, so that's what we got.
No candy or chocolate for the kids, but I got some for DH because that's his true love.

Just cards. Lo1 actually had a for this morning that she only had a card and no present! We need to reduce the materialism/present focus here! To be fair, lo2’s bday was yesterday so that’s why she was thinking of presents, but still.
Though, dh got me some special cookies and I shared w her so did get a present after all

DD told me she's excited for us to get a gift from her papa on Valentine's Day. I asked her if he told her about these "gifts", she said no. Apparently she remembers getting gifts from the previous year (she's 5). Thank goodness he surprised us with gifts in the morning
He gives us chocolates and cards, sometimes with flowers or plants thrown in. I really appreciate it since Valentine's isn't really a thing here. So no one actually exchanges cards and anything at her school.
I also like to give DD a Valentine's gift - just something small. This year she got a mini Playmobil box with a horse in it.

DD was so sweet and gave us a handmade school card and chocolate from her goodie bag for dessert. I painted her a pic, gave her some candy (I had received) in a pretty container. I have always loved Vday and things with hearts on it so I definitely celebrate. I just found a book my mom inscribed for me on Vday many years ago. (DH didn’t get a gift but he cooked me fancy dinner and got me clothing. When I woke up, I was grouchy but he was the cheery Happy Valentine’s one for a change.)

No gifts but I helped them make gifts for their school friends (bead bracelets) and we baked heart shaped cookies together. My husband and I didn’t exchange gifts either but we opened a bottle of wine.
