Uhh, we don't.
Was reading an article about house fires and realized we don't have one in our house.

We do, but I panic around fire, so I don't know if I could use one.

One in the kitchen and one in each car. Car fires are huge here in the summer.

Yup. I bought a 2 pack from Costco and put one upstairs and one in the kitchen.

We just bought one this past winter, every time we would light a fire in the fire place I would get really nervous!

We do! Also have smoke/carbon monoxide detectors all over the place and our house alarm is linked to the police and fire department.

No. But there is one two steps outside our down in the hallway of our apartment. And we have sprinklers in our apartment.

@sunny: oh, yeah, I have seen them in Costco! I should get them the next time I go.

Nope. It never occurred to me that we should have one...but now that you bring it up I can't believe that we don't!

We have several... But our house is spread out, so we definitely need more than one.

Just bought two when DH and I went out-of-town for the weekend (1st time) a couple weeks ago. Until then, no!
We have an all-purpose extinguisher upstairs and a kitchen extinguisher downstairs.
There's a fire ladder in the babies' nursery and a very DIY version of this: http://www.baby-rescue.com/. (We used a huge tarp rated to 80 lbs and rope strung through the holes...in a fire we could put both twins in it, pull/cinch, and lower them down.)
Fire safety wasn't really on my radar until I thought about the logistics of safely getting two 25lb kids out the window by myself. Kinda makes me sick to think about...

Yes, when we moved into our house, the fire department actually left one on the counter, with a welcome note. Apparently that's customary in our town when houses get sold.

We have 2: one in the kitchen under the sink and one upstairs next to the furnance/washer dryer utility room

A couple. I'm from San Diego and was there during the firestorm so I made sure we have a few.

3! We only had one before but after my last post I bought two more. One in the basement, one in the main living area by the kitchen and one upstairs in the hallway where all the bedrooms are.

We do but I don't remember where it is! Probably in the garage. Need to check on that!
