With 2 kiddos, me having an hour and a half commute each way 3 days/week, and not having a cleaning person, it gets done when it gets done. My house is severely neglected.

I've been following the Clean Mama schedule for the past few months and it's worked out pretty well. Bathrooms Monday, dusting Tuesday, vacuuming Wednesday, washing floors Thursday.

Yes... But I adjust it according to schedule/need, etc also. So I guess it's a flexible schedule.

The Roomba vacuums on a schedule, and we consistently do dishes each day. Everything else gets done when we can fit it in.

It gets cleaned every other week when the cleaner comes. In between I try to vacuum once and wipe down toilets and sinks once. Kitchen gets wiped down nightly.

I wish I had a schedule. I try to vacuum, clean bathroom/toilets and tidy everything well once a week. But these last two weeks have been tiring so I haven't stuck to it well...I think if I had a schedule I wouldn't feel overwhelmed by everything that has to be done in the weekends...

Nope. I mainly try to clean the kitchen - dishes and counters- every day and vacuum and do the bathrooms on weekends. Laundry and mopping as needed.

Everything gets done as needed- most stuff gets cleaned about once a week- every two weeks and the kitchen gets done at least once daily (except the floor which I mop every couple days).

I usually do laundry every Saturday morning. That's pretty much the only thing that I've been consistent with so far. Everything else I play by ear.

Cleaning people come weekly. We don't do any regular cleaning ourselves, we just vacuum/clean when there's a specific mess that needs to be addressed.

Um... I do laundry on Wednesday. That's about it. Everything else is pretty well as required. If we have a slow weekend we'll catch up. I don't have enough time to be worried about dusting every week.

Laundry is done on weekends and kitchen is cleaned each night. Everything else is as needed.

Those of you who have regular cleaning services (jealous!) do you really not clean at all in between? I feel like I *should* sweep/vacuum daily because of the dog and my crumbly 3 year old. And there are always dishes and counters to be wiped at a bare minimum. I'm not saying I am good about it, but I really don't think my house would stay very clean with a weekly or every other week cleaning service!

In an ideal world I have a schedule and I follow it. In reality it is a bit every day. I'd say throughout a two week span everything in my house gets cleaned. By the time I'm done I'm starting over.
Things like the kitchen gets wiped every day, sweeping gets done at minimum every other day and laundry is weekends unless needed in between.

@daniellemybelle: I have a housecleaner that comes twice a month and in between, I do a lot. I always have a clean kitchen, wipe counters, sweep, run the vacuum, wipe down the toilets and mirrors, make the beds.
The biggest thing for me is clutter control. I tend to have stuff on surfaces, like right now, it's rolls of wrapping paper, half completed art projects on the dining room table, etc. My house isn't dirty, it has the lived in look, lol.
