What do you write about?
I really want to start a blog, but have no idea where to start, or who would even read the thing!

I used to have one for my cooking/baking and posting recipes/photos, etc., but I got super lazy and stopped posting.

I have one that I use to track my pregnancy. Probably will use it to talk about the little guy once he's here so my friends that don't live close can watch him grow.

I started one recently but it's more for me and in the future for LO. It's just a bunch of letters to her about what's going on.

I started one when dealing with infertility and it's just transitioned to be about whatever is current i.e. baby now.
When I started, no one was reading it, I just used it to process what was going on. Then slowly, you'll start finding other blogs and gain readers. I don't know what I would do without the blog community that I'm now a part of. I can't believe I didn't even know it existed 2 years ago.
So my advice, write about anything that interests you. It'll take awhile to find your voice and focus, but that's okay. (Take a lot of time to think of the right name, because it will be with you for a long time!)

We have a secured blog for our LO for our friends and family to watch him grow. I wanted to start a food blog a while ago, but I realized how much work it is and never did it. We can barely keep up with LO's website.

I have been blogging for almost 10 years and the topics have varied from what point in my life I was at. It started with just venting frustrations of school and family. It progressed to life after college, marriage, and now family life. I love blogging and wish I had more time to blog.

I started one recently. Writing has been very therapeutic for me in the past and I don't do it nearly as often as I'd like. I start by writing 500 words in response to a prompt. I also plan on writing about Evan as he's growing up and sharing it with my family. And whatever else strikes my fancy, I guess.

I started one, and was pretty on top of things...then I kind of stopped for the last month...but I think in the next few weeks I'll start up again with pregnancy posts. I have seriously like, nothing to write about, but it's fun to look back at what I was doing (almost like a diary) and I'm hopeful that I'll actually give it out to family/friends once we go public with baby stuff.

@autumnlove: you are a mom of a toddler and soon to be newborn! I bet you have lots

I have one. I started it as accountability for keeping my house clean, and now it has morphed into a SAHM struggling to keep a clean house, cook dinners, raise baby, and keep sane blog. I love blogging though and am glad to be doing it again!

Yep. It started out as documenting my pregnancy and now I mainly post about my baby and some DIY things & informational posts. I really enjoy it. It will be nice to have all the memories of my son in one place. I don't post nearly as much as I would like. I have lots of ideas, but not enough time to write about it. I try to post at least once a week, but I don't stress if I don't post for awhile. You'll slowly gain readers and I wouldn't even worry about that. I don't think many people read mine, but I don't care, I still enjoy it.

No, but I've been wanting to start on for the longest! My thing is I hate to start it & then I really keep up with it to the point I'd like my own domain & then lose everything I had done... on the flip side I'd hate to get a domain & not keep up with it. I guess if I could ever come up with a name I would take the plunge but I've yet to be able to do so. lol

My husband has a blog called "On the Can with <insert husband's name>" where he posts about sports, technology, and politics. So, he bought a domain name for DS and is creating "On the Potty with <insert DS's name>." I thought it was cute and he was so excited about it. I have never blogged before but will probably update DS's blog so friends and family can watch him grow (without me being that annoying FB mom). Eventually, we will teach DS how to blog and use it as a way to keep family updated and work on writing skills.

@Springtime: I have one where I write whatever I think about. It's basically a lifestyle blog that relies heavily on adoption and infertility lately.

I have one. I've had one (albeit different names/domains) since I was 15-16. I even think I had xanga at one point lol.
I'm that annoying person who used to post all the time but since having a kid never does. I just don't have time anymore :(. I twitch a bit when I think of all I'm missing by not writing this stuff down :'(

I had one a while ago that I kept up with for a couple of years and then stopped.
I have a new one that I am starting and I want it to be a DIY/Life blog. I do a bunch of home projects/DIY's and people are always telling me to blog it. I love to blog but I am REALLY lazy when it comes to photographing the process and putting pictures on the computer.. It is problematic .. I need to be able to blog from my phone and just use my iPhone for pics. Which is depressing since I have a nice pro compact. I admire people that can update their blog constantly and NEVER slack.

I had two different blogs in the past:
first one was just very general - life, friends, marriage, crafts, fashion, pretty things. I loved the blogging, but I never really got anywhere with it because it was such a broad topic.
my second blog was 90% running related, complete running theme. i met so many people and got more comment response than ever before. i have met a lot of people IRL life and have people I consider real life friends from that experience. i actually turned the blog private bc i wasn't blogging much and felt vunerable lately with miscarriage and lack of interest in blogging.

I blogged about infertility, and all of the things I baked to cope with the stress. Now that I'm pregnant, I'm a bit of a slacker. Its sometimes about how things are going with the pregnancy, but its mostly silent. I'll probably blog again once she's here, and that way relatives can keep up.

@Reese: Use Wordpress for the iPhone. Honestly, I can blog almost exclusively from my phone (I don;t, but its possible). Might help!
