If you have more than one little one, is one of them easier than the other? I have a 4 year old and a 2.5 year old, I'm not sure if it's just their phases but my youngest is super easy going. She can play nice by herself for hours, doesn't ask for much, can adapt to things easier. My 4 year old is the opposite, but I'm hoping this gets her somewhere someday! She is very persistent, determined, knows what she wants...drives this momma crazy now but I think it will pay off in the future

My 15 month old is easier than my 4 year old. The 15 month old can be whiny when tired or hungry, but is easy to put down for bed. The 4 year old is tough because he's 4 years old.

Yes - this site really puts into perspective how easy my 4 year old is.
She was not an easy infant, but since then she's been dang easy. (knocking on wood, throwing salt over my shoulder, crossing my fingers now that I've said this out loud

They were all very easy babies.
We had an easy two year old with my first, but she has been more difficult at three. Finally on the other side of that I hope.
My second is the happiest and most easy going little person. I hope she stays this way! She's really just lovely and sweet.
My third is an easy, happy baby. Jury's still out in her toddlerhood. She is very vocal and for a seven month old really makes herself heard. I imagine she'll be more demanding when she is older. -
Mine are 3.5 and 21m. Both are pretty easy, but in different ways! My 3.5 is definitely pretty easy-going and laid back, but he requires a lot more attention than my 21m who is very independent, but stubborn!

As newborns/infants, one was dramatically easier than the other. I won't name names, but one of my LOs is still very easy going and the other is not. At 2, my easygoing LO is difficult in some ways where my more difficult LO is easy, if that makes sense. They are the same age, so it's not a younger vs older child thing (although technically my "hard" baby was the older one).

@yoursilverlining: LOL I often have the same thought. She was by no means an easy baby (mostly related to sleep). But since turning 1 she has been pretty easy.

Yes! Or should I say so far? He's 7 months old and has been an easy baby since day 1. Not that he doesn't have his moments, but he only cries when he's hungry or tired and he has never been inconsolable. He's been very healthy. He eats anything and has slept through the night since he was only about 4 months old. I'm just waiting for my luck to run out!

Our first was a good baby - but not a good sleeper. Now at 3.5, she's giving us a run for our money. LO2 is a good baby and a better sleeper...we'll see how it pans out!

My older one was soooooo easy, especially as a baby (she's a little more challenging now that she's a "threenager"). My youngest....oy...she has been a challenge since day one! Super needy and very contrary..she's gotten better as she's gotten older and more mobile but still....compared to the first its like night and day!

My almost 3 year old has always been pretty easy. We're getting into the threenager stage, but in general, he's still laid back for the most part. My 13 month old? HA. He's a wayyy more difficult kid- not a good sleeper until 11-12 months, very clingy and whiny, etc. He's lucky he's cute

DS1 is 4 years, 4 months. He's pretty easy the last year! He was not an easy baby or toddler, however!
DS2 is 21 months and was a super laid back infant. But he's been hell on wheels since he could walk, LOL. He has an awesome personality, but is super mischievous! He is a great sleeper and eater

yes times a million!!! DH and I joke around a lot about being one and done, because she's like a unicorn baby.....sleeps awesome.....great personality...great eater. so easy. Talk about a great transition into parenthood!

Well mine are 2yr (25mo) and 11 weeks, so I don't have a long history, but so far, LO #2 is unbelievably easy compared to his big bro. He just has such a content and laid-back personality so far whereas big bro has always been "spirited" and is a huge ham these days. LO#2 has hardly caused a ruckus at all going from 1 to 2 kids!

I only have one but from seeing how other kids her age behave and reading stuff on this site, I think she is pretty easy. She was a very hard newborn but the toddler years haven't been so bad. The hardest part is probably that she's a bit of an attention hound. But her behavior has always generally been good for her age.

My 2.5 year old has always been pretty easy and only 3.5 months in with DD2 but she is also seemingly very easy as well. Probably slightly easier than DD1 because she sleeps like a dream!

DD wasn't the easiest baby, but looking back she wasn't that bad either for sure! At least she had no colic, allergies, etc. The main thing was just me stressing out about low milk supply, and her not STTN till 7 months.
As a toddler, I actually think she's pretty easy! She is not quite 2 yet, but we haven't had crazy tantrums, we've never been in situations where I feel out of control...

I think they're both pretty easy. B is 2.5 and getting a bit more difficult, and sleeping has always been an issue, but he's pretty mellow. Yesterday one of his new daycare teachers told he me was super easygoing, so that was nice to hear. He's just starting to get more tantrumy, but even then he can almost always be talked down with a cuddle and a quiet moment.
W is almost 6 months and so far sooo easy - he's never woken up more than twice in a night and usually just once, he hardly ever cries, he's usually asleep within minutes of being cradled and given a pacifier.

Yes, she's a really easy baby. She's laid back, rarely fussy, and so happy. I hope it continues into toddlerhood.

LO was tough as an infant - terrible sleeper, MSPI - but seems to be getting easier as she gets older. She has always been a very happy baby, though, as long as she's fed properly and gets some sleep!

They can both be considered "easy" but in very different ways. LO1 is generally well behaved and easy for others to care for and play with. LO2 can play independently for hours, given the right toys. Growing up with a big brother, he has learned to go with the flow. Yeah they can be easy, but oh man they are a handful. They have their ugly sides, and they are a hot mess.

As my FIL always says, I've never hated both my kids at the same time
They have both had various easier/harder stages, dependent on their personalities, sleeping patterns, and other things going on in our life at that time. Luckily they haven't overlapped with any really hard periods (yet....).

Yup. My older child is turning four and she's always been fussier about everything! She's very particular. (She's also super sweet and caring and very smart.. But nonetheless fussy, haha.) My younger child will be one soon and he is super laid back by comparison! He's been a bit of a handful since becoming mobile and learning to walk but he's still much easier to make happy!

both were pretty easy babies. DS2 is still only 7 months and i feel he is the easist baby ever. I get comments all the time from people asking if he is always this relaxed and happy. I didn't get that as much with my first, so i think there is a difference there. My first was an easy 2 year old, never related to the "terrible twos". 3 has been very challenging him with, but i think it is even more challenging since adding a baby to the mix. He started school this week and i have seen some behavior improvements, which i am happy with. I hope it continues to go this way.

DD was a way easier baby, but she's much more mischievous and throws tantrums, something DS never really did!

Oh yes! E is 3 now and has been challenging at every stage - poor sleeper, poor water, colic, hard to please.... S is 5 months and has just been the easiest baby so far.

Still baking #2, but it's been a very easy pregnancy so far
The first few months with lo were very difficult with figuring out nursing (we ended up combo feeding bc I had supply issues), and she's always needed lots of attention to fall asleep. And in general, she wants us to play with her most of the time. But she has a lovely personality and is a fun little person to be around, so I do think she's been fairly easy since say 5 months or so. She's had some flashes of terrible two tantrums this summer1- id say we had 1-2 months of difficulties this summer when she had trouble accepting transitions (esp going to sleep) and would just be unable to control her emotions. But she's usually fairly cooperative and she's super verbal and articulate so we almost always can understand her. She's also a decent eater and hasn't had any serious health issues so we've been very lucky (knock wood!!)
