I have been struck by the number of people who wrestle with insomnia... and the number of SOs that have no trouble sleeping.
Do you have insomnia? What about your SO: do they have insomnia or are they a good sleeper?

Lately dh and I both have trouble sleeping. It sucks to have two tired parents all the time!

I have a lot of trouble sleeping or staying asleep. Hubs passes out the second his head hits the pillow. It's especially annoying the second he starts snoring. UGH!

No, I have been sleeping pretty good lately, fingers crossed this sticks around for awhile. I have had struggled at times, although I think it is more stressed induced than anything!

I have always had trouble falling asleep ever since I was young. I remember being in elementary school and laying in my bed for hours, waiting for sleep to come. I'd create adventures in my head and play out scenarios, and I'd continue the story the next night. Once I had a report on Daniel Boone due the next day (5th grade) and I remember staying up til the sun came up with no problem!
I still have a lot of trouble falling asleep... takes at least 30 mins of silence and complete darkness before I can fall asleep on a normal day.
Wagon Sr. falls asleep the second his head hits the pillow. And then he usually starts snoring or grinding his teeth, well before I've started to drift off.
We can count the number of times he's witnessed me falling asleep before him on one hand!!!

I am going through it right now, Can't wait to go to bed at night, but find that I am wide awake around 2-4 in the morning. I think I had it through the 1st trimester last time around too, so hopefully it passes soon!

I've been seriously struggling with insomnia lately. It kicks my butt during the day because I'm so tired! I used to have no trouble falling asleep but ever since having insomnia during my pregnancy, it's been an issue. DH, on the other hand, can fall asleep before his head even hits the pillow. It's ridiculous!

I have a hard time going to sleep... but I don't usually have a hard time staying asleep. But if a bad dream or a need to pee wakes me up I have to start my falling asleep routine all over again. Husband has noooo trouble falling asleep. But he is actually a light sleeper. He once woke me up in the middle of the night because he though someone was in the house. Guess what it was that woke him? An ornament fell off the Christmas tree. ON TO THE RUG!! But even when he gets woken up, he can fall right back to sleep no problem. And he's a champion napper. I'm jealous.

Pregnancy has made my sleep patterns so irrgular and unpredictable, and they weren't great to start with!
Throughout the pregnancy, I have had vivid dreams . . . most of them are either strange or tragic, although a few have been nightmares. I actually woke up from a nightmare screaming at the top of my lungs.
I also had daily migraines from weeks 16-21 (I am 27 weeks now), and some of them began at night, so I would wake up to the pain.
Now, butterbean kicks so hard (usually around 2-3 a.m.) that she wakes me up, and then I can't fall back asleep. So I lay in bed and play games on my iPhone or read on my iPad, and listen to my DH and 2 kitties snore/sleep.
