I used to get in so much trouble because I'd eat it. Like I'd stick my fingers in it and lick em'. I grew up in a very polish/Catholic city outside of Detroit.

The butter lamb is a Polish Catholic, also very Buffalo, Easter tradition. I had never heard of them before moving here, but they are crazy popular here. I find them very weird, but I will probably also buy one

They always have them in the grocery stores by me in nj. My grandmother always got them for easter. I didn't know they were a Polish/buffalo thing. I always thought they were just an easter thing!

@babybysurprise: I didn't realize the butter lamb was a buffalo thing! And, just so you know, fowlers ships for free and no sales tax. You can still get your sponge candy!

@MamaBehr: not sure it is a buffalo thing like spong candy and loganberry but I remember it.
I really miss having chocolate shops. Thankfully my mom send me and the family an Easter basket every year. I can't but regular grocery store chocolate for Easter. It just doesn't feel right.
