I used to spend most of my life in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, back when I worked in Corporate America.

These days though, I do almost all my writing in Google Docs! The collaborative editing is so helpful, and I love not having to email revisions around - and not having to merge changes. I almost never use Microsoft Word anymore, unless I'm sent a file that has special formatting. Never thought I'd see the day when I stopped using Word, but my latest laptop doesn't have it installed and I haven't missed it!
