If you find good deals on gifts, for your kids or other kids/family members, do you buy them to store away until needed? What kinds of things do you buy? Do you worry about them not ever being needed? (If your intention is for other kids, not your own)

I haven't because I always want people to be able to return things I give them if they aren't needed or wanted. I always include a gift receipt so they don't have to tell me if they return it or anything. So I wouldn't unless it was something really special.
But now that we are starting to go to birthday parties I'm starting to think its a good idea!

I do this for other kids birthdays - we have 5-6 gifts in a closet and I let LO pick for whatever friend's birthday party it is what she wants to give to them. I only restock when it's super clearance, usually at the Paper Store, they have some cool toys and have 75% off sales throughout the year.

Yes. DDs class all has summer birthdays. So we will end up with lots of parties.

Nope because then they can't return. My ILs do it and it irritates me to no end that I can't return anything. I keep a running amazon wish list and if I come across things that would be great gifts I just add them to the list so I can go back and buy things quickly when I need them.

No, but I have a regift stash from gifts from friends and family that I can't return. Lots of board games, books and toys that we have already. We have two enchanted cupcake games, Candyland and two copies of 5 minute Frozen stories in my stash right now.

I've tried it but I typically wind up wanting to buy something specific to the person. I do try to keep my eyes open for stuff through the year though and I'll buy things if I have a certain person in mind. I still have a few things I bought but never seemed like quite the right time/person that I need to figure out.

I stock up on presents when it's too good of a price to pass up. We also have a collection of presents from LO's parties that I wasn't able to return. I figure it doesn't hurt to have some on hand, and if I don't need it, I can donate later to Toys for Tots.

Yes. I usually stick up on one unique book and get 10 copies for summer birthdays.

Yes. I stockpile in general because of shipping. Amazon UK no longer ships to our country for free, so I tend to buy things all at once and plan for the holidays and bribes (for desperate times)
I also stockpile super discounted items as gifts and hoard things that I know she'll like, that I'm afraid won't be available when she's old enough to play with it (e.g. Lego fairy set because one of the characters share her name). I have a pretty big stash of toys, mostly for DD, but some are reserved for last-minute gifts.

I do, for things like kid birthday parties. It's easier if I just order ahead and give everyone the same thing. I pick gender neutral and character free games, mostly.
