I got a postcard from my neighbor to join Nextdoor. I was curious so I signed up and there is so much drama on there...I can't wait to read all the threads!

We use Nextdoor too! I haven't seen a lot of drama on ours, but lots of good recs for landscapers, house cleaners, caterers, etc.

Yep, we use Nextdoor and I like it a lot--no drama on ours! My old neighborhood had a Facebook group and the drama/gossip/speculation was out of control. I think the difference is that our old neighborhood was all young professionals, but gradually homeowners started having kids while simultaneously a bunch of college-agreed renters moved in. Our current neighborhood is mostly retirees!

NextDoor also. I've gotten some good free stuff from it, sold a few things, and have gotten some great info.

Next door. It's half crazy drama and half useful info. It's really great for finding lost pets though. One lady's parakeet was missing for 6 months and someone finally recognized it due to photos she posted on Nextdoor.

We also use Nextdoor. We can leave something on the curb, post about it on Nextdoor, then it disappears. It's like magic!

We scored a free piano and fridge for the garage through it.
There was some drama over a new church being built. But mostly I think people appreciate we're not in a hoa and mind their own business
Unless it has to do with poop (roaming cat poop, where people put their dog poop, etc)

The only drama we had was a Halloween thread where someone asked where the best place to trick or treat was and lots of nice responses and then it was flooded with "stay in your own neighborhood'

There are so many Facebook groups for our neighborhood, I don't think I can handle another one.
The best drama is on our building's Facebook group. It's crazy!

I found my lost overnight dog within minutes posting to my FB wall. A friend saw it on a neighborhood social media group.
