We've been reading books to the kids during breakfast and dinner, and sometimes one of them will ask that we read a book just to them. We're happy to let the kids take turns picking the books, but we always read it to both of them! Not sure how you can read a book to just one kid, when both kids are right there.

We've been taking it as a good reminder of the importance of alone time with each kid. So tonight when they asked for us to read to each of them alone, Bee took Olive to bed and talked to her alone there... while I took Charlie on a walk around the block to tell him a story just for him. Hopefully we can continue to work alone time into the kids' routine, so that they each feel special.

Do your kids ever ask you to do something just for them, and not for their sibling?
