I didn't have much toys when I was a very little kid. But I do have stuffed animals from when I was older that I kept in their original packaging. A Totoro stuffed animal and a Pochacco stuffed animal. I gave Totoro to DD1 and Pochacco to DD2.

@LuLu Mom: eek that's gross. My animals were literally still sealed in their original packaging. They were in thick plastic wrap and tied up. They look brand new!

@regberadaisy: yeah it's disgusting, I want it to "disappear" but she calls it "beary" and takes it everywhere with her. I don't know how to "lose it" without it being devastating!

@LuLu Mom: awww any chance you can find a similar care bear?

@LuLu Mom: @regberadaisy: why is it gross??? My DD has 6 of my care bears, she loves them.
DD also has some of my strawberry shortcake figures and a house... my old doll cradle... probably some other things that I am just not thinking of

@Ajsmommy: only because she said it still seems dirty!

@Ajsmommy: it's from the early 80s, was in storage for years, so dusty/dirty/ect. Nothing to do with it being a Care Bear!

@regberadaisy: I wonder if it would work, she's very persistent but maybe I'll buy her a new one for Christmas! ha

@LuLu Mom: DH's mom kept everything too. Everytime we go there, DD gets attached to another stuffed animal and brings it home. It's all been washed and were lightly used in the first place, but it still feels like 30 years worth of dust must be in them!
Our kids have my old AG Samantha and some books, but my parents didn't save a lot of things because they never had tons of extra space.

My mom saved all 7 of my cabbage patch kids - DD had no interest so I donated them!
She does play with my Strawberry Shortcake dolls
There are other dolls and small toys at my moms house (from our childhood) that all the grandkids play with

D has been getting shoeboxes full of He-Man toys since his first Christmas. Hubs saved ALL of them. I think he's getting Castle Greyskull for his birthday in January. He has several of our old stuffed animals.

They have a giant storage tub of DH's Brio trains. They were still in their original boxes! DD2 was just gifted a push toy that was mine as a kid (my parents had saved it and gave it to her former first birthday). They also randomly have this nosy bear stuffed animal that was mine.

My siblings and I each get one of our big toys from childhood for our kids. I got our Lego table and all the Duplo Legos.
My parents also kept some things that will be at grandma and grandpa's house (including our Lincoln Logs and Tinker Toys that were originally my dad's as a kid!).

No, everything was lost.
But E does have a little pencil-shaped race car that D made with FIL when he was about 10, and my ILs still have the big wooden train set they bought when D and his brothers were young kids (they've survived 8 boys so far!!). They also have some random old toys, like a Jack in the Box.

My parents actually kept a lot! Several dolls (and accessories), stuffed animals, lots of books, some infant rattles, and this little musical carousel that my daughter LOVES.

I literally have nothing from my life before I was on my own. My mum threw everything out when I was off in college.

They have a few of my stuffed animals but mostly they are holiday ones so packed away most of the year. There is one bright pink monkey and a troll doll that mmy older son likes. They also have an old Mickey stuffed animal that belonged to DH and it is gross and falling apart but they won't give it up. DH's parents have some blocks at their house too.
