My next-door neighbors have one of these: http://www.lovesac.com/sacs/supersac.html
It's awesome! I would definitely buy one if we had more money/more space

@chopsuey: We actually had 2 of them and bought them in college, but I finally gave one away. They are so flipping big and heavy, and it's a huge process to get the covers on and off to clean. They just look so tacky to me, and ours is in the playroom, so it shouldn't matter. There is no good place for it; it just has to hang out in the middle of the room. I think they just remind me of a college house now. But the dog and the toddler love it.

OMG. My parents had one growing up. I *loved* that thing - sooo comfortable. Until you fell asleep and woke up drenched in sweat and stuck to a beanbag chair...

@BananaPancakes: I burst out in laughter reading "we have a huge lovesac." Lol I'm so mature

We have a fatboy and the kids LOVE it!! It drives me crazy though, because they like to climb up on the sofa and then leap onto the beanbag, over and over and over!

They seem cool, but I think it would drive me a little nuts, too. For the reasons @BananaPancakes said.

@prettylizy: Lol yup! Our friends gave us 2 fatboys and they are amazing!! The kids and dogs love lounging on them, but we love having a nice place to sit in the playroom not having to sit on the floor!

No but I want one! I think it would be nice for lounging on the floor with DS and reading books and stuff.
I also saw this brand on Shark Tank
They are supposed to turn into a spare bed as well.

Call me crazy (DH totally thinks I'm nuts for thinking this) but I am paranoid about of my kids suffocating in one of those things...like playing hide and seek and trying to get inside it..

I got one in my early 20' from Orvis - I love it and so do the kids - we always read in it and its super comfy!!!
This is the only pic I can find - cover is removable and washable

We have one, it's a knock off of the Fatboy, called Sitting Bull. It's in our playroom and my son loves to use it as a mountain and drive his cars all over it.

My BIL has a Fatboy and doesn't use it that much.

A family I worked for had a fat boy and it's primary purpose at their house became a landing pad. They would put it at the bottom of the steps and jump from the fourth step onto it... It was too flat for lounging though unless you propped it against something but they may come in different shape?
