LO is already saying, "I don't want to go trick or treating. I just want to stay in my house. It's too scary." No one has even decorated yet and some of our neighbors do some pretty scary stuff. I think she has solely gotten this from seeing spooky decorations on sale at Target. She has started finding all her Halloween books or books that make her think about Halloween (where the wild things are, a book about a black cat, etc.) and hiding them because "they are too scary."

She's 3 and lives for a power struggle so I pretty much just said, "Oh, really?" and moved on because I didn't want her to feel like I was pushing her and then make her push back on me which is a thing right now. But... I am nervous about this!
