I swear it physically hurts my child to say "I'm sorry." Last night I waited 10 minutes, through massive tantrums, all because I asked her to say sorry for throwing her phone. She finally said it while in downward dog pose, facing away from me, "Sorry, mommy."

Depends, sometimes she says it on her own and sometimes it pains her.

haha Haven't gone through this with L yet, but our two older ones STILL hate to say sorry. I have often wondered if this is just a kid thing or do they really not feel any empathy!?

I always have to ask, she will snuggle up on my lap and give me hugs after timeout or being naughty but I have to say "tell mommy/daddy you are sorry" and she usually fights it and then finally gives in with a pout and a big sigh and says "I sorry mommy"

Haha, mine will NEVER say she's sorry. She's almost 3. She'll just scream and cry until I give up :T

Not yet, she says sorry a lot, it kills me because it's so cute. I wonder if it will change when we start asking her to say it though....

My LO will freely apologize when she truly did something accidentally. She apologizes to furniture she bumps into and apologizes to me if I bump into her. However,if she intentionally does something wrong it takes forever to get an apology. I guess it's much harder to say you're sorry when you aren't.

hahaha. literally as i was reading this, row brought me a half opened christmas gift from under the tree and said, "i sorry mommy, i not mean to open the present."

My toddler loves saying it for now. Even if she bumps into you ever so slightly, she'll cheerfully say "I'm sorry!" Gosh, I love her. It mostly pains my 4.5 year old though.
