Doesn't need two people. I sit L on my lap, hold him with one arm use my other arm to do the rest. It's EASIER with two though.

Yes it does. You don't need two people. It's a lot less scary looking (and sounding!) than the bulb aspirator so my kids don't make as much of a fuss. I just lay them down in front of me, stand over them, put the end in my mouth, then get the other end in their nose and suck gently.

It's amazing. The bulb aspirator did jack squat for us.

Yes! But don't forget most of us have probably started with it at the beginning so our LOs are used to it. So they freak out less.

Also sitting in a bathroom with the shower running beforehand does wonders to break up the mucus.

The NoseFrida is by far one of my favorite and most used baby products! It works better than you'd think - I'd definitely invest in one, especially since your second is almost due!

It's so awesome. It gets so much mucous out. It's getting a lot harder to use it one on one, so we will probably have to move to one of us holding her down and the other using the Nose Frida.

It works really well for us! I always use saline 10 min prior to soften everything up!

My friend with a 6 month old swears by it (and she can use it on her LO by herself).

Yes! I use a little saline beforehand and it really gets everything out and it's SO SATISFYING. I used to be able to do it myself but now that she is a wiggly worm toddler I have a really hard time doing it alone!

I've been really successful doing it in the high chair when I have to do it alone. At first he would struggle, but I honestly think he now understands "Hey, I can breathe after she does this. Now drinking my milk won't take 3 hours." He barely fights me now.

@Adira: The NoseFrida is amazing and it's only requires one hand, so the other can be used to pin down a squirming baby Good luck and hope it works for you!

@Mama Bird: I watched a few YouTube videos to get the hang of mine, and it helped so much. One trick that worked well for me was to turn the tube while sucking.

I do saline and do gentle sinus massage to really loosen things up. Small babies aim towards their ears. Older kids eyes. I have 2, one for each LO!!

I HATE it. Seriously. I've tried and I just can't do it well.

You need a really large bulb like the hospitals have, it's quicker and stronger...

I've been using it on C since she was tiny and she has always hated it. BUT it also works so when she is really stuffy I do it anyway. I always do the saline spray first to help loosen things up (@Adira: the one we have is both drops and a spray- you can drop the drops up their nose, or put the tip right up to their nostril and squeeze and a mist goes straight up the nostril. C actually loves this and holds out the bottle for me to do it).

Find youtube videos of doing it by yourself. I lay c in my lap with her head kind of tucked in my armpit and my forearm across her chest and arms, and use the other arm to hold the tube. It's so disgusting but satisfying.
