Registering, and just curious-
Did you pick baby gear (swings, bouncers, etc.) that matches, or did you pick individual products that you like that don't match at all?

While we didn't buy a ton of gear, I think mine matched in style, mostly because I wanted things to match or blend in with the decor we already had in our home. I specifically didn't buy certain things like jumperoos because I think they are hideous (not to mention how much space they take).

I didn't buy a whole series of, say, Snugabunny bouncer/swing/rock n play etc. those pueces are so short lived I didn't worry about it. I did choose a high chair that went with our decor and a pack n play for the living room that blended with the colors in there.

Ours kind of matches? We picked a lot of gender neutral items even though we knew we were having a boy. So lots of grey/green/white/black.
But we didn't buy any 'sets' really. We just picked the things we liked!

No, we didn't buy a lot upfront, we kind of bought as we needed it.
The stroller and infant car seat matched, because we bought them as a set, but our other stuff was random.

Nope. Other than our crib and dresser in the nursery (which were from different places, but both white), nothing matched our "theme".
That's because we hardly bought anything new and our bouncer, exersaucer, play mat, ride on toys, bumbo seat, etc were all hand me downs from my SIL or we got free off a local mommy listserv. So they were all different colors.
It kind of bothered me at first because all my friends were buying cute new things....but after parenting for a while and seeing how quickly these things get phased out, I was so glad we didn't spend all that $$$ on them.

We tried to match, but if it didn't, I wasn't bothered by it. The use/quality of the item outweighed the available colors it came in.

For the most part, yes. Our pnp and high chair are the same pattern. And we have the snugabunny swing, bouncer, and rnp.

I registered/bought things that blend with my taste/home as well. But some baby products are just "loud" haha!

No, we registered and purchased neutral gear but the patterns and brands do not match.

Nope! I registered/bought what I thought was best without regard to whether they matched. Our stroller (City Mini) and infant seat (Britax) match though--as they will be used together.

Not really, my swing and rock n play match, but the high chair is different. I went gender neutral on everything, but not necessarily a matching pattern, that didn't matter to me.

No I would pick the good gear. Honestly I think the "matching stuff" is kinda like the Stroller/Carseat combo issue. It sounds good in theory but really its not often the best option out there.
We love our Bjorn bouncer, a basic PNP, and the Mamaroo or Fisher Price swing.

Some, but not most of it. But really only because DH's and my favorite color is green, so what things we did buy new, we got in green and most of the greens out there right now are pretty similar. Most of our gear was hand me downs from my sister though (and most of that was bought used on her local list serv) so it was whatever she had.

No, I tried to get gender neutral stuff. Our crib and dresser kind of match because they both have white on them, but other than that, no.
