If so, how? My DS pulls up the shade and says,
"Mommy, wake up, the sun is out! Mom! Wake up!" And I groan like I'm the kid and he's the parent.

She just comes running into our room. I usually hear her and am up already, but on the rare occasion that I'm not she just gets in my face and yells "hi, mommy!"

My 3.5 year old still does not climb out of her bed on her own in the morning. She sits up in her bed and yells for us. She's physically capable, and does it all the time throughout the day. But when she wakes up in the morning or from a nap she doesn't climb out. I'm so torn on whether or not to encourage her to start!

LO sleeps in our bed so she wakes me up by wiggling. The best is when she starts grabbing my face though. Simultaneously adorable and obnoxious.

Our 3.5y old wakes us up about half the time by just climbing into bed and demanding to cuddle with me and our 4.5m old, who sleeps with us. Sometimes he just yells from the bathroom that he's pooped and needs help wiping, though

E gets out of bed, sits on the floor by the side of the bed, then wails. When I go in, she claims to have fallen out of bed. Every.single.morning.

My son is 5, so he knows not to wake us up. But I'm an extremely light sleeper so I can hear him walking into our bedroom. He always stands off to the side, looks to see if we are sleeping, and then goes back into his room if we are (or appear to be). I've told him he can't ever wake us up (unless there's an emergency) and he goes and does something quietly in his room.

DD comes in to give me a cuddle and tell me she loves me. She's very sweet when she first wakes up. -
Oh man these are all adorable. DS carols, "Mommy! My cwock turned green. It turned green, Mommy. Time to get up. Mommy. Mommy! Mommy!!!" DD is usually in my bed so she crawls around and blows raspberries on me and sings a bit.

We co-sleep, so DD usually suddenly will say hi or high-five or hug to me haha.

@Torchwood: sooo cute... i co-sleep with my LO as well (but in his bed) and if I don't wake up he starts laying on top of me.
@lovehoneybee: Oh man, I wish my kid could put himself on the potty in the morning! Toddler poop is way better than newborn poop though!

@lamariniere: Aw man, I tried the whole "don't wake up mommy" with my LO. He always comes back with "but but but I just want you to play with me" and asks a billion of questions so that I can't sleep anyway

@snowjewelz: seems like a lot our kids just wakes up full of energy! I guess that's what happens when they get 10+ hours of sleep.
