Possibly TMI-
I was explaining charting to my DH last night and I mentioned monitoring my CM. He had no clue what that was! I explained it and he said "oh, I've seen that before when I'm doing your laundry. I just thought you got really turned-on during the day...."
Um.....that's just wrong on so many levels!
Did your SO know about CM or did you have to explain it?

@chopsuey119: Cervical Mucus or "Discharge". You can track changes in your CM to figure out when you're ovulating.

He knew when we started ttc because he did most of the research for charting.

@artbee: Really? How did you get him to do the research? My DH thinks the whole thing is pretty "over the top". But it's mostly because we're not TTC until May but I want to get off BC and track my cycles so we have the best chance out of the gate. He's also really laid back, so it's difficult for him to get into it.

I definitely had to explain it. If I'm being honest, I didn't even notice how it changes throughout my cycle until I started TTC. I think it's cute when he asks me if my CM is like egg whites. lol

@TJBee: he did it without me asking. He'd always come up with some new thing he read about ttc.I think he was just very excited to make a baby.

Yup. He doesn't "see" it often, but it has made it's presence known.

He knows, but I had to tell him what it was, he would probably have never found out on his own

He knows what it is now, but a few months ago he didn't. Now he asks me what the consistency is everyday.

He knows now the details about it, what changes mean etc. He noticed before that at different times of the month I felt different and he knew vaguely about discharge, But, now he knows the actual info!

Omg. He gets so grossed out every time I mention it. Haha.

I phrased it as "natural lube". And... no. He knows when I'm on my period, but that's it. He does NOT want to know how I know that I'm fertile, just that I know.
