Hey Ladies, could use your help to brainstorm some ideas before I go out and buy something.

We live in a three story townhome. Entry floor holds the majority of LO’s toys. I put his dress up clothes & accessories inside a storage ottoman along with a blanket. LO cannot easily open the ottoman by himself and I think he’s already forgotten there are clothes inside.

The second floor living room just has his tray of superheros, kiddie table & chairs, arts & crafts cart. His bedroom is on the top floor and there are just books in his room. I haven’t put his clothes away so right now his closet is completely empty.

LO loves dress up and I’d like for him to get some more use out of his costumes. When LO plays dress up he’ll go through about 3 costume changes and then want to move on to another activity.

Here’s what I’m mulling over.

1) putting his costumes in his closet
Pro: hanging space already
Con: 3rd floor; out of sight for majority of the day

2) buy a toy chest or rack for the 2nd floor
Pro: easy for him to use; dress up could be on the same floor during meal prep
Con: open storage not super attractive; won’t have space to relocate his play kitchen* that may be better suited on 2nd floor closer to kiddie table

3) buy a toy chest or rack for the entry floor
Pro: space available if play kitchen is relocated to 2nd floor; store ottoman making room for more floor space to play or swap for a train table
Con: entry level; sole activity is supervision

I thought about a pop up hamper that could be more portable to move his costumes around the different floors. But a) wouldn’t they always be a wrinkled mess? and b) wouldn’t that mean he’d have to dump everything out to get the 1,2, or 3 he wanted?

Brainstorm a solution with me. Links to products are appreciated.
