What do you do when your LO won't stop drinking bath water? It's annoying and gross, but is it gross enough for the fight it will cause to stop it?
Meanwhile, she screams if I get plain water in her face just trying to wet her hair before washing it, but will stick her face in the water to try and drink it.

Can you have a water bottle nearby and offer her drinks as soon as she starts drinking bath water?

I know this isn't the most eco friendly but when R starts trying to drink it I turn the water on at a trickle and tell her to fill her cup, then she drinks the clean water....and then proceeds to whine when I turn it off. Can't win I guess?

@Jess1483: she likes drinking from the open cups in there- which now I'm realizing is of course part of the problem- I'm usually a regular plastic cup to rinse her hair which looks just like a drinking cup. But she does it with anything she can pour from. Or putting her face in the water.
@Mrs. Taco: she probably would like that. Maybe I need two cups in there- one for rinsing one for drinking.
@blackbird: I'm still leaning towards too. Even though she stood up, peed, then sat and starting drinking it again. My kid is gross.

My DD likes to suck on the washcloth during bath time...I try to rinse it and leave some new water in it for her, but then she dunks it in the bath and sucks on it some more. I figure getting her clean outweighs whatever yuck she ingests but yeah, it is gross.

Meh. I don't worry about it. I try not to encourage it, but if he gets a few sips I do'nt stress!

mine does it all the time.... she licks the pools of water on the tiles as well. I just try keep it as clean as I can, its not worth the tantrum trying to stop her.

I wouldn't worry about it. I certainly wouldn't encourage it by any means, but I wouldn't battle to try and stop it.

Haha I try to stop her, but it's pretty much a lost cause! She usually spits most of it out, at least that's what I tell myself

I've given up. I spend the whole day trying to get her to drink more water so drinking bath water doesn't bother me as much as it might otherwise.
Last night she was having a tub with baby brother I watched him pee in the tub (DD didn't notice) and then she started drinking the water. 
I did put a stop to that!

I think it's funny, but mine is only 7 months old. He's just playing.

@MrsF: lol. Kids are so gross. I just always assume she pees in the water, but sometimes she stands up so I see it.
@Pirouette: yeah she does like to take a big gulp then let it all dribble down her chin. While looking and me and smiling because she knows she isn't supposed to. Ahh toddlers.

I don't worry about it. My LO will take her toy boats that fill up with water and drink it like it's the most delicious thing she's ever had. She also pees sometimes in the water. Pee is sterile. And the tub full of water dilutes it further. So I save my energy for other negotiations with her.
