There is this pretty great charter school that is K-12th grade. I have worked as a substitute there the past year and love a lot of things about the school. I would love for my daughter to go here, but there is a dual language immersion program from K-5th grade offered at the local public school. I was thinking I could apply for the dual immersion program, let her go there and hope to transfer her in 6th grade; but, then she would miss being in the same school as her peers for the first 6 years of her education. Plus, is dual immersion even worth a try? We are a bilingual household although we lean heavily towards English so I thought the program would encourage us to teach her more Spanish. The charter school offers Spanish classes once a week from K-6th so there would be some exposure, just not as much.

Opinions? What would you do?
