This is especially sad as Nepal is one of the poorest countries in the world. Middle income families earn about $200 a month. This will have a huge effect on their economy especially in the tourism sector as several heritage sites were destroyed and the avalanche at Everest may stall the climbing tourism industry for quite a while.
