Other than Britax, what are some easy to install convertible car seats? I am a big fan of the Britax ones, but they don't have cupholders and from what I have read of the reviews, the cupholders that you can buy aren't great.
DS1 has a graco car seat and uses the cupholders all of the time but it's a bear to install so I was hoping to get something a little easier to move around for DS2.

The Britax clicktight is kind of in its own world as far as easy install, but yes the cup holder is pretty flimsy.
Which Graco seat do you have? What don't you like about the install? Do you typically install with the seat belt or lower anchors?

@catgirl: Honestly, I don't remember which Graco it is. I didn't do a lot of research when I registered for it a few years ago. We use the latches at the bottom, it's just hard to get tight.

With a belt or latch?
We have a Chicco nextfit and it’s easy with latch. Slightly more involved with the belt but still easy. And it has an attachable insulated. cup holder. But britax are in a class of their own as far as ease of installation

So I don't know how much time you have, but Graco has a new Snuglock feature... But it's only on some bucket seats and a Nautilus. I played with them in Target, and they really do seem to make it easier.

@Sams Mom: i wish I knew the nautilus had it! I just got one of the cheaper britax convertibles but LOVE the snug lock on our infant seat! So easy!

They sell a regular Nautilus still, and then a Snuglock

But I definitely endorse the snuglock! I’m surprised you don’t hear more about it since everyone talks about clicktight. It’s pretty much the same level of easy install (in the bucket at least)

@LadyDi: the best way to help get it tight is to pull from inside the seat. they talk about it here: https://csftl.org/securing-seat-tighten-lower-anchors-inside-belt-path/
As far as easier to install seats, a little hard to say not knowing what you have. Like others suggested the chicco nextfit has a supercinch tightening on the lower anchor strap and belt lock offs. And the nuna rava has the true tension installation system that is quite similar to the britax clicktight. But those are a bit pricey, not sure on budget.
Personally I find most graco seats pretty easy to install using lower anchors and pulling the strap inside the seat. There are a lot of different gracos, so depending on the one you have some might be easier. Also, not sure if your older is rear or forward facing but if forward you could consider passing the convertible down and buying a combination seat.

@Sams Mom: I ended up ordering the Nautilus with snuglock and we'll pass our DS1's car seat to the baby since it can be rear facing. Thanks for pointing this model out!
If anyone knows anyone looking, Britax car seats are on sale on Target's website right now! I just can't get over no cupholders.
