When I am good, I would be ordering something like mahi mahi tuna with salad, dressing on the side. Last weekend I was craving burger, so I ordered burger but didn't eat the bun. It was so wasteful so the next day I (again) ordered a burger, but asked them if they could do a lettuce wrap. And they did! I was eating with fork and knife but it was very nice and I didn't have to waste the bun. Also just salad or veggies on the side, or I am thinking I could try to ask for sweet potato fries...

Then on Friday I was at pappadeaux, a very nice seafood restaurant. I was literally googling the calories when ordering and I ordered crawfish etouffee. I found it very surprising that their site says it is only 260 calories? I can't imagine because it came with a lot of rice! So I didn't eat any of the rice and I hope it is accurate that only the crawfish stew is 260 calories.... and apparently crawfish is very low calorie. I'd be ordering that from now on it is sooooo good! Maybe I'll ask for a veggie substitution to the rice next time.

What do you usually order when eating out? And what are some of the things you discover that are actually very low calories while eating out? Care to share?
