This is my first time selling on eBay. Someone immediately contacted me about a buy it now price, then someone bid. I decided to offer a buy it now price, but eBay doesn't allow this after a bid. She responded that since she's out of town when it ends, she asked that I end the auction early after she is the highest bidder, then add $35 to her invoice. Is this allowed? Am I likely to get scammed? I'd rather take the guaranteed money than risk getting less.

@AmeliaBedilia: I wouldn't do it. I would just tell her to set a high bid and hope for the best.

Sounds weird to me... I'd just tell her to place a high max bid for what she's willing to pay for it and hope that she gets it. Did she need it by a certain date or why does it even matter that she's out of town when it ends? A smart phone will fix that?

Sounds a little dodgy. I've sold quite a lot and people often try to get you to end the auction early and give them a buy it now price. I've only done it a couple of times (before a bid had been placed) if what they were offering was more than I thought it would end up fetching through auction.

The item is sold. What is the easiest/cheapest way to ship? It's a long sleeve shirt.

I'd put it in a paper mailer and take it to the Post Office - tell them to send it as cheaply as possible.

@AmeliaBedilia: did you specify in the listing you would mail via a certain method? (i.e., Priority mail?) if not, I agree with Ms. line!

@AmeliaBedilia: Poly mailer. Then weigh and print shipping through PayPal, it's actually cheaper than the post office.
