LO is 5 weeks and just slept four hrs for the first time. I can't even enjoy it because I'm worried I just didnt hear him earlier. That said he wasn't even really crying this time, just woke up to him waking up and fussing. I would know if he had needed me right? Our house is tiny, his room is right next door. And the monitor was on.
Maybe this ramble sounds ridiculous, I just can't believe it. And DH is traveling + I am the heaviest sleeper ever + extremely exhausted.

Ive slept through LOs fussiness before, but always wake when he's truly crying. Around 6 weeks I realized that if I let him fuss for a bit (sometimes his eyes were even closed when fussing) he will sometimes fall back asleep for another hour or two. Trust me, you will know when your LO really needs you!

You would hear! I'm a heavy sleeper too and I always hear LO when she gets escalated. Just a little fussing is ok, you'd hear full on crying!!!

I always slept through it when LO was a newborn and would wake up at night. DH would have to wake me up every time it was my turn to get her. I'm such a heavy sleeper! Now I wake up before her though so it's not an issue.
When DH is OOT I turn the sound up really high.
