My appointment this morning went well! I really like the doctor.
They are going to repeat all my lab work from February, do a HSG if I don't get pregnant this month and also do karotype testing. We have to wait for the authorization from my insurance company but I think the labs will be done soon.
He also said that he doesn't think I need to be on any fertility medication and just to try naturally. The ultrasound went well.. my lining is good and I have a 28mm follicle (which I feel like is huge) but he said it looked perfect and I should ovulate by tomorrow.
I had a feeling I would ovulate on 10/19 since that is the exact day I had surgery to remove an ectopic last year.

I'm not feeling too positive about this cycle so hopefully that will make the TWW easier.

    @mrskansas: WOW, 28mm sounds huge to me too ha, that's great!! {I think my biggest follicle was just under 21mm when they had me trigger this cycle!} I'm so glad you had a good appointment and like the doctor, that's so important I am sorry though that tomorrow is such a sad memory for you I hope that this big folley will be become a nice, healthy, sticky bean {in the right spot too!}

@OurEastAndWest: The 28mm follicle makes me nervous because it's so big! But I'll trust the RE's opinion and try to stay hopeful this cycle. He did say that if I don't get a + OPK today it will probably be no good or turn into a cyst so I'm really hoping that's not the case!

@OurEastAndWest: I will! I have also read that it can help with implantation so I am giving it a shot. Thanks, the losses still suck around this time of year (pregnancy loss on october 15th) but I got pregnant with my son after my second loss. He may be a teething nightmare of a two-year old right now but it was worth it.

I was freaking out last night that I didn't get a positive OPK but I finally got it this morning! Phew.

Alright what do you guys think... we had sex yesterday morning, this morning and are planning on tonight (after midnight) as well.
Do you think that's enough or should I try to make it home before my husband goes to work today?

I question how much we BD every month it seems like!

@mrskansas: you always cover like crazy! That sounds like plenty to me!

My opk is back to almost positive (and it’s my normal o day coming up) so I’m hoping for a true positive sometime tomorrow. If that happens we’re doing tonight, tomorrow and probably Sunday. I’m so tired though it may be tough!

@bhbee: That sounds like great timing to me!

I'm sitting her at 5 dpo simultaneously worried that it will result in a BFN or twins. 😂 I mean, what are the odds both follicles would be fertilized?

  14. bhbee

    cantaloupe / 6086 posts

@crazydoglady: you never know!! I have a friend who did ivf twice with two embryos each time. The first time she got b/g twins the second time bfn.

I got a good dark positive opk this morning - it’s nice to have been so busy I didn’t stress out waiting for it. We got in last night so I’m feeling like our timing is pretty good if we get tonight too.

@bhbee: That's awesome! So far, I have not figured out BD before positive opk because my O date always changes and my surge is very sudden.
    Fingers crossed for you!

@crazydoglady: thanks! Now I can semi-reasonably poas on Halloween at 9dpo
I’m not feeling very optimistic right now but that would be a fun bfp!

Ok, so I normally don't read too much into "signs" but I saw 6!!!! sets of twins at a small town pumpkin patch today. I know this cycle could totally be a bust but...

I hope everyone had a good weekend!! We just got home from a college football/college friends reunion weekend out of town with my husband. It was a wonderful TWW distraction for sure!! And thennnn I started spotting when we got home tonight at 11 DPO...

I'm currently sitting in the bath with a Lush face mask and bath bomb, trying to just relax cause there's nothing I can change about this situation. No, I'm not 100% out yet, but after 20-something months of TTC, spotting has only ever been a lead up to my period, so I most likely am. I really hate unexplained infertility tonight!!

I am sorry to be a bummer, just feeling overwhelmed about the idea of us having to do IVF

@crazydoglady: Twins are a blessing! My husband's nieces are Clomid twins and they turn 12 on Tuesday

@bhbee: I always wanted to be able to find out on a holiday, I just thought that would be sooo cool!!!

@mrskansas: Girl, you BD like a boss! I'm impressed!!!

    @OurEastAndWest: I'm so sorry, hon. I can't even
imagine facing IVF. I hope it comforts you that IVF was the key for so many mamas on here. I am glad to hear you are taking care of yourself. You absolutely deserve it.

I'm 4 DPO today and I feel like this is going to be a looong week. I'd like to say that I'm going to test on Sunday at 10 dpo but I know I'll probably start on Friday

Hey ladies. I'm 12 dpo today. I have no had any spotting yet which I'd say is unusual but not unheard of. 80% of the time i see a small amount of spotting on 11 dpo.

But I don't feel like I'm pregnant and I have no desire to test. It's crossed my mind but really, why bother when I know I'll see AF signs soon.

Anyone else feel like this? I'm just so tired of the disappointment.

  27. mrskansas

    nectarine / 2813 posts

@Umbreon: The disappointment is exhausting. I totally get it.
Keeping my fingers crossed for you

@mrskansas: thanks! Good luck to you too! It sure is exhausting. I'm so jealous of those who have no trouble conceiving.

    nectarine / 2813 posts

@Umbreon: Me too. I've been resentful at times of those who get (and stay) pregnant easily. This is not an easy battle but those of us who have been here for a while understand!

  30. bhbee

    cantaloupe / 6086 posts

@Umbreon: I’m with you. I’m much earlier in the 2ww but I’m also feeling like it just isn’t happening again this cycle. I hope we’re both wrong

@mrskansas: those progesterone tests are interesting. What exactly do you use them for (other than freaking out of course )?

  31. mrskansas

    nectarine / 2813 posts

@bhbee: I guess to confirm that ovulation has happened? I think it could be helpful for someone w/ PCOS maybe.
I just like peeing on stuff so that was the only reason I was interested, haha

  32. crazydoglady

    nectarine / 2431 posts

@Umbreon: @mrskansas: I've "only" been at this for 7 months and the cycle of hope, stress, hope, and disappointment is soooo exhausting. I am 9 dpo and really really don't want to test but my doctor wants me to because I am on progesterone and can delay periods (right?) so she wants me to test this Sunday.

Well, the telltale spotting has started. Can't say I'm surprised. A BFP would have been a nice anniversary gift though. Our anniversary is coming up in November.

@mrskansas: I could see those being helpful for people who hate temping like me!

  36. OurEastAndWest

@mrskansas: @crazydoglady: Hi loves! I am hanging in there! My flow still hasn't fully started yet, it's just been spotting since Sunday night and now I'm just ready for it to get this show on the road!! AF is due tomorrow so I suspect tonight or tomorrow morning the angry witch will show her full face ha.

@Umbreon: I never really make it to FF's test date because I've always started spotting before then too. This morning my acupuncturist asked if I wanted to take her test -cause it's free I guess??- and I was like, nooo I have about 50 Wondflo tests at home haha, that's not why I haven't tested yet! I feel like seeing the Negative for me hurts so much more than starting my period does.

I went ahead and called my RE's office and scheduled the appointment to discuss IVF *big sigh* We are set up for November 7th, which feels both so far away and OMG so soon all at the same time! The nurse said they only schedule one of these appointments a day because they are so in-depth, which just adds to the overwhelming feelings!! I'm nervous about the whole thing- the cost financially, emotionally, & mentally. I know I'm going to want to go ahead and start the ball rolling now since it's not a short process and my husband is going to want to wait awhile, because that's just how he is about every big decision ha. So hopefully we can come to a happy agreement without too much debate!

I'm just sooo ready to get off this infertility roller coaster!

In 'good news' though, today was a high of 73 degrees and sunny here in Florida!! It has been gorgeous! We've had the doors open and the pets are happy and it's been nice not to break a sweat 15 times a day for a bit It's amazing how some beautiful weather can lift everyone's spirits

    nectarine / 2813 posts

@OurEastAndWest: Ugh I'm sorry. IVF does sound super overwhelming and I would be extremely nervous too. The 7th will be here before you know it though and hopefully you get a plan in place! Infertility sucks.

I know what you mean about the weather though. It's been cool here this week (50s and 60s) and this weekend it's supposed to be in the 40s! I love cold weather and find it so energizing, which I really need lately.

  39. OurEastAndWest

    cherry / 134 posts

@mrskansas: I'm not usually a cold weather person but I agree, this weather change has been invigorating for me as well! Maybe it's also because it's a change from what it has been and man, I'm ready for some major changes ha!

@OurEastAndWest: I'm sorry. I think November 7th will be here before you know it. With all the hurry up and wait of IVF, I hope your husband has time to process everything but then you can feel better knowing things are moving forward. Hugs.
