I'm 0-3 and in a deep, dark fantasy depression The worst part is that I have more points than almost half the league, but I've just gotten screwed with bad match ups.

Planning to pick up Danny Woodhead tomorrow and drop Starks, unless someone else has another recommendation. Other interesting, available RBs include: Chris Johnson (Arizona), Ryan Matthews and Darren Sproles (but I have DeMarco Murray which makes these less attractive), Karlos Williams (Bills).

No one in my league really does trades.

@AggieDaze: I'm sorry, that really sucks. Hopefully you'll get some better match ups soon. Did you pick up Woodhead? All the RBs you mentioned are already taken in my league (12-team). I ended up picking up L. Dunbar. We'll see how that goes.

@AggieDaze: Karlos Williams!! Go for him!

@78h2o: Damn, missed your question re: Dalton! Hope Dunbar does well in the next week!

  5. 78h2o

    grapefruit / 4441 posts

@MrsKoala: Blue is available too... was thinking about him instead of Dunbar, but I think he would only be helpful for a week or two? ETA: M. Jones is also still a FA.

@AggieDaze: I would get Karlos Williams too... I had him and dropped him, then someone else picked him up. Boo! I think my second pick would be Chris Johnson.

  6. 78h2o

    grapefruit / 4441 posts

@MrsKoala: Dalton got picked up, but Mariota is still there. I kind of want to drop E. Manning for him, but my husband thinks that's dumb. Maybe I will try to trade him first. There's only been one trade though so far in my league, so I don't know if people really do that.

  7. MrsKoala

    cantaloupe / 6869 posts

@78h2o: Matt Jones??? Oh man, I would totally pick him up and Mariota. Even with the fumbles, I think he's a great person to take.

  8. 78h2o

    grapefruit / 4441 posts

@MrsKoala: Ack, no, Marvin Jones. Too many players named Jones! Yeah, I'd pick up Matt Jones if he was there, but someone got him last week. I'd like Mariota but can't figure out who to drop.

@78h2o: Oooohhh... hahaha whoops! What about dumping Watkins or Gurley?

  10. 78h2o

@MrsKoala: Yeah, I'm thinking maybe Watkins.

@78h2o: @MrsKoala: I picked up Karlos Williams, Danny Woodhead and traded Eric Ebron for Charles Clay.

Now, I just need to finalize my line up. And I could really use some help, especially re: RBs and Flex. What I have right now is the following, but I'm not 100% convinced about Forsett (plays tonight) or Woodhead. Any suggestions?

QB: Andrew Luck (fingers crossed he plays, or I'm going to picking someone up at the last minute and benching him)
    RB1: Karlos Williams
    RB2: Justin Forsett
    WR1: Mike Evans
    WR2: Larry Fitzgerald
    TE: Charles Clay
    Flex: Danny Woodhead
    D: JETS
    K: Steve Hauschka

Bench RBs: DeMarco Murray (Q), Jonathan Stewart (Q), Doug Martin
Bench WR: Golden Tate, Victor Cruz (O), Kendall Wright (Bye)
    Bench TE: Jordan Cameron

Figured I'd post the updated Love/Hate for this week in case it helps anyone make a decision: http://espn.go.com/fantasy/football/story/_/page/TMR151001/matthew-berry-love-hate-list-sleepers-busts-best-starts-sits-fantasy-football-week-4

@AggieDaze: I hope you started Forsett?

I am a Ravens fan, so it was good to see them win last night! However, I had Antonio Brown and Smith Sr playing and they combined for 6 points (compares to 40 last week). I'm going to have a hard time winning now. Trying to think of who I could pick up or put in who would have a lot of upside.

  15. AggieDaze

    apricot / 448 posts

@78h2o: and MrsKoala: I started Forsett! And so glad I did. My opponent had Sims Sr so I felt very lucky with the 15 pts from Forsett.

  16. AggieDaze

    apricot / 448 posts

I'm still not 100% on my flex starter. I've got Woodhead in the position now, but could consider DeMarco Murray (although he's burned me pretty bad in recent weeks). I'm in a standard league; not PPR.

I also picked up Derek Carr yesterday (dropping Victor Cruz since he's out for an indefinite time). Now, I'm wondering - Luck or Carr. Both have great match ups, but I do wonder about how Luck is feeling - both mentally and his shoulder. That said, someone told me yesterday that at some point, you just have to play your all stars and cross your fingers.

  17. MrsKoala

    cantaloupe / 6869 posts

@AggieDaze: Glad you played Forsett! `15 points is pretty great. Your QB decision is a tough one. I might take a gamble and play Carr.

Crap! I lost this week! I played both Steve Smith Sr and Eric Ebron, who left their games with injuries. I needed 8 from Ebron in tonight's game to win. I also have Dunbar on my bench who tore his ACL and MCL. Hope you all fared better!

    @78h2o: Ouch!!

    How was everyone else's week?

I finally won - thank goodness. Actually managed to score more points than the entire league this week; not saying much, but still

I have to pick up a D this week as the Jets are on bye... thinking about the Giants. I'm also trying to decide if I want to hold on to Carr, or grab Mariota (just hit the waiver on Sunday). I have Luck, but am watching carefully to see if I'll play him on Thursday.

Hope everyone else had a great weekend!

    @78h2o: Injuries suck!!

@AggieDaze: Congrats on the win! Hopefully, it's the start of a streak for you. I'd be nervous about Luck playing this week, too. I'm still shocked that he didn't play last week! I hope his injury doesn't stick around for too long.

I'm 4-0!! Kicking butt in my league. Of course, it doesn't hurt that I have the best Kicker, Defense, and Running Back in the league right now. This week is big for me, though. I play my husband so you know the pressure is on for me to remain undefeated.

  22. catlady

I managed to squeak out a win this week so I'm 3-1 now.

@78h2o: I have Ebron too and was bummed when he got hurt. I have Julius Thomas stashed on my bench but he is still out this week so looks like I need to toss Ebron and find a new TE.

@AggieDaze: I just picked up the Giants D for this week (I had the Panthers before). Hopefully they will do ok.

@MrsKoala: That's awesome! Good luck this week against your husband.

  23. BKCaribBaby

    pear / 1672 posts

@catlady: We are like Fantasy twins! I picked up Ebron last week as well after I got worried about Heath Miller. I just picked up Richard Rodgers from GB, so maybe he will work this week. I also had the Panthers last week and just picked up the Giants.

I'm worried about DeMarco Murray, but we'll see. I have three QBs and I shouldn't (I'm keeping Tyrod so no one else can have him).

  24. 78h2o

    grapefruit / 4441 posts

@BKCaribBaby: I dropped Jordan Cameron to pick up Richard Rodgers. I decided to keep Ebron over Cameron, since the Miami offense is a mess and he hadn't done much so far. Hopefully I don't regret it!

@MrsKoala: That's awesome you are 4-0! Good luck this week!

I am 3-1 this week thanks to injuries last week. My match up this week is pretty tough though, so I need a few miracles!

I'm so annoyed with Mike Evans... he's burned me twice. I think I am going to start Benjamin or Hankerson over him, but can't decide which one. Is that crazy?!

  25. AggieDaze

    apricot / 448 posts

@78h2o: I dropped Jordan Cameron too! I needed a D for this week and he's on bye and isn't doing well anyway. He might still be available later if for some reason we want him, I figure! Last time I choose a tight end because of his looks, hahaha!

I am also so annoyed with Mike Evans. I'm playing him this week, I think. But he really needs to get it together!

  26. AggieDaze

    apricot / 448 posts

@MrsKoala: Luck is out! I couldn't believe it! Luckily I was prepared and picked up Sam Bradford (dropped Derek Carr for now since he's facing the Broncos -ouch - and then on bye) ... While the Eagles O line is an embarrassment, I'm hoping he can still generate a decent amount of points against the Saints.

Ugh! I benched Andre Johnson this week because he's sucked this season. And he has 20 points in the Colts game! the only redeeming thing is that I am a Colts fan and we're winning!

  28. 78h2o

    grapefruit / 4441 posts

@AggieDaze: bahaha! I can't tell you how many times I've looked at his mug and thought, "Damm, I wish you were as good on the field as you are to look at! 😂

  29. AggieDaze

    apricot / 448 posts

@78h2o: I'm ashamed to admit that this is not the first year I've drafted Jordan Cameron simply because of his looks. It did pay off last time though

  30. MrsKoala

    cantaloupe / 6869 posts

@AggieDaze: Eeeek! I can't believe he's not playing again. He must be really hurt. The Saints haven't been very good so hopefully that will mean lots of points for Bradford (I hate saying that because I can't stand the Eagles).

@78h2o: @AggieDaze: I had Jordan Cameron for the last two years because he was so nice to look at. No shame. Didn't get him this year, though. In fact, one of the reasons that I always draft Julian Edelman is because I consider him my football boyfriend.

  31. AggieDaze

    apricot / 448 posts

I had another rough week! Tied (which in our league means the person with the most points on the bench, wins). With two on bye and two injured, I came up three points short

What are everyone's thoughts on Delanie Walker? Trying to determine if I'll play him or Charles Clay.

  32. 78h2o

    grapefruit / 4441 posts

@AggieDaze: Ugh, that stinks! I don't know anything about Walker, sorry!

My team did terribly this week - 63 whopping points! Somehow I still won, since I was playing the team with the worst record. She scored 62 points, so I'm sure she's annoyed!!! I know I would be! So now I am 4-2, which is okay.

I need Big Ben to come back, as Antonio Brown seriously sucks without him... 2 pts? Come on!

I have a tough match up this week (1st place team), but fortunately my players have decent match ups, so there's a chance!

@MrsKoala: Of course, I no longer have Cameron and he finally had a good game! I was going to claim him if he had a good week, but someone snatched him up last week. Oh well! BTW, I wanted to thank you for the podcast recommendation on the other thread. I've been listening to it almost everyday, and it's made my commute more enjoyable!

I picked up Karlos Williams again after he was dropped last week. He's in the concussion protocol right now and McCoy is back, so I dk if he's worth keeping or not?

  33. MrsKoala

    cantaloupe / 6869 posts

@78h2o: So glad you like the podcast!! I enjoy listening to it as well. So sad that Cameron finally had a good week and you didn't get to reap the benefits. That's the worst part about Fantasy Football. You can never predict when someone is going to get hot and you'll really never know who you should hold on to and who to drop!

I'm still killing it with my team. Undefeated like the Patriots! My husband is possibly going to beat the other undefeated team this week so fingers crossed that will happen.

    @sslm: Oucchhhhhh.

  36. AggieDaze

@78h2o: I'm so jealous of your 63-point win. At the moment, I'm up by 17 points but my opponent has Odell Beckham Jr and Jordan Matthews playing tonight. I have DeMarco Murray playing... so it's a toss up.

Re: Karlos Williams, I dropped him Saturday to grab Travis Benjamin. I also dropped Jordan Cameron, but Delanie Walker got the same amount of points so I'm fine with that decision.

Naturally, Jonathan Stewart had his first big game - 19 points - and was on my bench this weekend.

  37. 78h2o

    grapefruit / 4441 posts

Just checking to see how everyone is doing?!

I'm 5-2 and hoping I will be 6-2 after tonight, which will put me in 2nd place. I have a 34 point lead, but my opponent has a WR2 and Flex RB playing tonight, so we'll see. I lost Steve Smith Sr. last night due to injury, which is bummer... mainly because I'm a Ravens fan and it's a crummy way to end a career. I hope he comes back next year. My WRs are weak now... I have Brown, Evans, Benjamin, and LaFell... I need someone else consistent. Running backs are ok right now... someone had dropped Gurley at the beginning of the season and I'd picked him up back then, so I'm good there. I have Gurley, Ingram, Lewis, and Yeldon right now. My QBs are Ryan and Eli... of course I had Eli on the bench yesterday when he scored 38, and in the game last week when he got 6 points. I'm trying to decide if I want to stash Romo... do you think he'll return in week 11? Be back to his old self?? I'm going to drop Smith and the 2nd D/ST that I had picked up for a bye week and look for a WR and maybe Romo...

  38. MrsKoala

    cantaloupe / 6869 posts

I'm 6-1 and on my way to 7-1! One of my best players, Le'Veon Bell, is probably out for the season but luckily, I had his backup DeAngelo Williams so I'm okay in terms of RB. My team has been pretty phenomenal so I'm not tinkering with it at all.

@78h2o: Is Malcom Floyd available at all in your league? He might be a good pickup for WR. Not always the most consistent but he had a good week this week. Not sure about Romo.... I think it's risky but it could payoff. I stashed a player for 12 weeks two years ago (Shane Vereen) and it paid off big time so sometimes it's worth it.

  39. 78h2o

    grapefruit / 4441 posts

@MrsKoala: That's great you had Williams!

So I am 6-2 now, which puts me 2nd overall, despite having a pretty low point total. My opponents have back luck, essentially... I have the lowest "points against" total of anyone. Good for me, but I worry about my team's strength. Gurley is doing well though and hopefully Brown will be better with Ben back, so we'll see.

Re pickups, Floyd wasn't available. I ended up picking up Stevie Johnson, Sammy Watkins, and Karlos Williams. Actually, I picked up DaVante Adams, but then I felt like I had too many WRs so I switched to Williams. I need a better defense. Someone has both the Rams and Vikings… I was thinking about trying to get her to trade one of them to me. Or maybe I will just drop the Bills and stream each week. There aren’t very good options available though this week, so I might have to keep the Bills. If I were to try to trade for the Vikings, lets say, who would I trade? Is it silly to trade for a D/ST that isn't the Broncos?

Not a lot of trades happening in my league… someone offered me Diggs and J. Brown for A. Brown but I declined.

So now my team looks like this:
    QB: M. Ryan, E. Manning
    RB: M. Ingram, T. Yeldon, T. Gurley, D. Lewis, K. Williams
    WR: A. Brown, M. Evans, LaFell, S. Johnson, S. Watkins, T. Benjamin
    TE: B. Watson
    D/ST: Bills
    K: R. Gould

  40. MrsKoala

    cantaloupe / 6869 posts

@78h2o: I think Stevie is a pretty good pickup! He has pretty good rapport with Rivers and he'll most likely get better and better as he recovers from his injury. Good job!
