I love the name Michael. It's DH's middle and my great grandfather's name.
I love the name Emily too, but DH has a cousin with that name. He nixed it.

Henry. It's our boy name, but my co-worker just named her son that. I'm not sure if it's off-limits now, or if that just means we will have another girl.

Georgia, Violet, Charlie (for a boy). DH vetoed Georgia and Violet. He loved Charlie but we named our first dog that name years ago so we couldn't reuse it!

@twodoghouse: I love Lucy for a girl and Theodore nn Theo for a boy, but Lucy was my dog and Theo was DH's dog before we met. I actually said I wouldn't mind using them on kids (both dogs passed away) but he's vehemently against it.

I love Nova and Aurora for girls. My aunt used Nova for her cats name and my friend used Aurora for her dogs name.
For a boy I loved the name Bentley but two of my friends named their kids that.

Charlotte... It was the name I picked out for my daughter when I was 8, but DH's only other serious relationship was with a Charlotte so he vetoed

Delphine. Very similar, and rhyming to my daughter's name. I would have picked it over what we went with, but my husband wouldn't go for it.
June and jasper. My stepson and daughter both have j names, and I refuse to use another j name.

@IRunForFun: DH actually wanted to use Charlie for one of our kids, but our dog had just passed away (in a tragic manner, not like old age), so I was really against it. I've told him before that if we ever had a 3rd, we'd have to have a C name (since we have an A and B already), and he's like we could finally use Charlie! Yeah, still a no for me. Luckily we aren't having a 3rd!

Greta. I love it but even if we ever had another baby (which we will almost definitely not) it's too close to our baby's name. But our first is named my very favorite name anyway so it's ok.

We won't be having a boy, and so my favorite boy name, Seth, won't get used. Though we probably would have named a boy Eli as a variation on fil's name who passed away.
Names I loved that dh vetoed included Ayelet, Pearl, Lilah, Amelia...
