I’m getting our younger daughter a full size bed and am looking into cotton and flannel sheets, as well as a quilt or comforter. Any recommendations?
Where do you normally buy bedding for the kiddos from? I got my older daughters duvet / sheets from LON during an amazing sale, but there aren’t many good deals right now on LON (crate and barrel kids) or PBK now and do not want to spend much on bedding until after she’s potty trained.

I vote ikea! They always have cute different patterns and sooooo affordable.

@mrsbubbletea: me too! We got a comforter and cover for our son that he loves! I ended up getting a solid colored sheet and pillow case that match it at Target. And actually come to think of it our bed is the same. IKEA comforter with cover (we have two we alternate) and target sheets!

Target Pillowfort recently started making 100% cotton sheets and they’re pretty reasonable. We went with a duvet and cover rather than comforter - duvet is from ikea, cover is one I stole from my parents’ house that my Dad bought in Germany in the 80s.

We really liked our Ikea comforter. I’m not a fan of the Pillowfort sheets at Target. I thought the PBK pillowcases were at least worth of because they have a flap that helps keep it on. FWIW I obsessively searched for sheet sets and we ended up finding the flat sheets just got shoved to the side anyway so we could have just stuck with her crib sheets + Ikea comforter + PBK pillowcase.

IKEA. I got two sets of everything except the duvet. So, pillow case, duvet cover, sheet, duvet/comforter, waterproof mattress protector, all for a pretty cheap price. All 100% cotton except the mattress protectors. They also have quite a few choices. I’d always check there first and it’s also where I found my favourite bedding for my room so I was surprised. I have saved so much money by shopping for bedding there now. They have a pattern/style for everyone I have decided!

Target or Ikea. Comfy/decent quality but won't break the bank especially who knows what will happen to them!

My kiddos have bedding from the Martha Stewart "Whim" line at Macy's, PBK and Company Store Kids. I've been happy with all of them.

My favorite sheets are actually microfiber ones, they're fleece basically. I get them at Costco and they're all my son wants. You'd think they're hot, but they're not at all.

I really like The Company Store sheets, especially Cats' Meow. I didn't get it in the end because I found some nice sheets in a local store, but if I had to pick something online I would have picked those.

DS1 has PBK kids sheets and duvet that I scored on a major clearance deal, otherwise ANGTF full price PBK. I do like the 100% cotton situation because my kids are sweaty and they hold up nicely (we've had them about 2 years).
That said, I do really like Ikea's sheeting. Its cotton and lightweight (again, sweaty kids) and they are so cheap and come in so many fun patterns.

I usually get our sheets at home goods or Marshall’s. They had really cute kid ones that I got for DD’s bed but they are actually not very soft at all. So I won’t buy the cute kids one there again.

Have you considered letting your LO pick out the sheets? Honestly, they'll be mostly covered up by the quilt and sham, and could be a cool way to get her involved with moving to a big kid bed (if she was not already in one).

@Foodnerd81 -I know what you mean! I saw some at Homegoods, and they were super cute but they weren't very soft.

@imadreamer: it’s weird since I usually get pretty decent adult sheets there!
I selected a few quilts that I liked for Dds big girl bed and let her choose- from my preapproved selection. That way she got to choose but I was happy and they all would have looked nice. I went with quilt instead of comforter in hopes of easier cleaning in a regular washing machine, but I’m not sure if it really is or not.

We like the organic sheets from Target. Nice and soft, and you can buy fitted sheets separately. I didn’t give my toddler a flat sheet because I was paranoid that she’d get tangled in it.
