Hi ladies, could you give my registry a quick look over to see if I missed anything?

I am currently only TTCing but I like tobe prepared.

- purposely did not including clothing and toys (exersaucer expection)
- I want practical and useful items mostly (a few luxury items but tried to keep things to the essentials)
- gender neutral colours. Even if we did know the sex of the baby, I'd prefer earth tones and neutrals mostly. And later would tweak items to colours that suit us.

Mainly, I just wanted feedback on the items themselves (and quantity) Thanks in advance!!

@stiletto_mom: Looking at what you registered for, I have experience with the Rock and Play, K'tan, Halo Sleep sacks(non swaddle version), gel pads, nose frida, also the drying rack- all great products!

K'tan carrier was great for a newborn, but once LO got heavier (4-5 mo) we couldn't use it anymore. I know a few moms who love their Tula carriers.

For cloth diapers we use Fuzzi Bunz and I love them.

For a sound machine, we have this one thats cheap, simple and works great:

It looks great! You hit up most of my essentials - rock 'n play, structured carrier, and aden & anais swaddles.

Another essential we've used a lot once we started solids was this fisher-price healthy deluxe booster seat - http://www.amazon.com/Fisher-Price-Deluxe-Booster-Seat-Brown/dp/B00CSAWJPO/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1414993540&sr=8-7&keywords=fisher-price+high+chair - highly recommend!

A few others:
- A white noise machine (marpac)
- Humidifier

I was also a huge fan of woombies for swaddles, but I know swaddles can be all trial and error! Both my babies loved i though.

Check your insurance if you haven't already because a lot of times breast pumps are covered. Also, I highly recommend going to the store and testing out strollers. We were set on a stroller set and then went to the store and hated it.

I just got the Luna Lullaby pillow as a baby shower gift and it is awesome! I'm 35 weeks pg so I don't use it for nursing yet but it is so comfy and soft and I use it like a pregnancy pillow

@stiletto_mom: you're in Canada, right? Are the items that you linked to on Amazon.com able to ship to Canada? Or if not, how are you swinging that? I'm also in Canada so I'm curious... The American Amazon is so much better!

What about a high chair of some sort? Even if they're not on solids, it's nice to have them at a higher height, so they can be with you at the table. We used a pretty basic one with a recline beginning at 3 months.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone for their advice!! I've added a few more things to the registry that I hadn't thought of!

Yes, I'm located in Canada and will have to look to see if breast pumps are covered.

Yes, some items I listed from amazon.com does not ship to Canada, but I'll adjust those links before I give out the registry link (thanks for reminding me!)

Does anyone have a better video monitor recommendation? The Summer one seems a bit pricey to me.

@Seattlemom: Thanks!! I've subbed in the machine you linke d. It looks like it does almost the same thing but way more cost effective!

Also, can it be plugged in with a cord? I don't usually like battery operated only items.

Thank you. I don't want to put too much "fluff" stuff there because I don't anticipate that I will even get half of the items we want. So the essentials with the option for people to get second-hand is important too.

Looks great!

Personally I would ask for my car seat(s) and base to be new, not used. I was told that unless you knew the person that you could never 100% know that the car seat had not been in an accident and/or had been treated like you would want it. I thought that for peace of mind it was worth springing for a new one. I googled it and found that this was the common consensus as well.

Just wanted to say your registry looks great! All the items I would have suggested are on there haha, I am impressed I do agree, though, that you should not take a used car seat unless it will be from a trusted friend or family member.

@stiletto_mom: Yes, it comes with a cord to plug in but also can be battery operated. That option has come in handy for us as we use it in the car sometimes and at daycare. But at night and naps we plug it in.

Thank you everyone for the advice. I am still on the fence about cloth diapering. Need to find more resources and decide if it's the best for us.

As for car seats, I know many say they prefer new, but I'm willing to leave the option open.

@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: We used both the original and the houdini ones. Both were just cotton with some spandex in them.
