Definitely normal. My son just turned one too and has had back to back colds and other illnesses for about a month now. It sucks, but it's normal. Hang in there!

@ArchivesMama: I don't know about your mom and SIL, but my mom and MIL were both stay at home moms, so their kids (us) didn't get sick nearly this much, so my kids being sick all the time was definitely a surprise to them! But it's, unfortunately, normal!

Unfortunately sounds about right, she's building her immune system and hopefully next year will be better!

@ArchivesMama: sounds sort of like what we are going through with my three year old who just started preschool. The first month was ok but the last month has been tough, especially with her giving it to my newborn.

Totally normal. DS has been in daycare for a year now, starting last December and pretty much had a cold from then until April or May He was good for most of the summer and had had another cold or two since September.
The good news is that they seem to be less severe and they don't really slow him down at all anymore.

My LO started daycare at the beginning of November at 7 months old. She had never been sick a day in her life before she started daycare, and has now been constantly sick ever since (more or less). Well actually she's been pretty good for the last week, but we've barely noticed that since DH and I have both been suffering from her illnesses so all the sick time blends together.
