We went around 15 months, but should have gone sooner. He looked like a highland cow. Haha.

Went into a little kids cut place, and just told the lady I wanted it short. Ha. You could tell them if you want a specific style or whatever, but I just wanted it out of his eyes!

DD was like 19-20 months when we slightly trimmed the back and bangs ourselves. She doesn't have a lot of hair but she has this one lonnng piece of bang that we constantly have to clip back. And my mom cut her back for fun hoping it will grow faster.

I am trying to decide if I should cut my sons hair. It's sooooo long but at this point I kinda want it to grow out a little more and try the longish look while he's still a young toddler. I figure he's gonna have short hair for his whole life probably! Might as well let it grow now. Drives my MIL insane and my DH a little bit just about it being in his eyes.

@raspberries: the place we went they sit in a little car chair. Also there was a big TV with Thomas playing. So he was happy steering the car and watching Thomas.

I cut DS1's hair for a good year before he went to a salon. His hair is thick and wavy (so it didn't need to be as perfect as fine straight baby hair), and he always sat still for me. When we did take him, we took him to an actual salon because I knew he would sit still.

As for DS2, he hasn't had a haircut yet, though he needs one. There is no way he's sitting still for it though, so I'm not sure what we are going to do. He has really curly hair.
