Has anyone had a good experience using a flat head pillow? I bought the Boppy Noggin Nest, but want something she can use while laying down (not sleeping). There are so many on Amazon!

@babypugs: I had the noggin nest, too and we used it every time our LO was laying on her back--for naps, just lounging, etc.

I tried the noggin nest but I think it was too late by the time I got it, we had to get a helmet. I cried and felt soooo awful at the time, but it was totally worth it. I only wish we had done it a few months earlier, because I can still see the changes in his head shape (although I don't think anyone else but me notices!).

If you are desperate, the one that comes most recommended is the Mimos. It's just expensive ($110) and I would guess there isn't really a resale value. My nephew was on the line of needing a helmet, started using it, and it corrected itself in a couple of months.
The Mimos is breathable (so approved for sleep) and clinically tested.

We used the babymoon pod for a bit. If you happen to be in Chicago, I can give you ours! We only used it when our baby was sitting in her bouncy chair or laying down (other than sleep).
Not sure how much it helped, but we did manage to avoid a helmet but I think that was more because of early physical therapy rather than the pillow.

@Anagram: I have been using it laying down, but just noticed that it's not the intended use! Do you still think it worked okay?
@MrsADS: Aw, I'm sorry you guys went through that but am happy it worked out!
@FaithFertility: I saw that! Hmm..
@LBee: Pricey, but less pricey than a helmet! Nice that it can be used at night.
@Mrs. Starfish: I wish I was in Chicago! Well...brrr... maybe not. I've YouTube'd some exercises. Definitely will keep doing then.
