So I'm just now learning about fleece-lined leggings. Can anyone shed some light on them? Is it that the leggings are just made with thicker/warmer material or do they actually have a second layer of fleece inside, like a sweatshirt? Wondering whether I should invest in a pair for the winter.

I bought two pairs, and I wear them almost 100 percent of my life. They're pretty much the best invention of all time. They are like a leg sweatshirt.

I bought a pair at Maurice's last year to wear with a sweater dress and they actually were Fleece on the inside. I paired them with some boots and wore the outfit Christmas eve and was very very warm going from car to house and back several times.

I'm wearing them now
just thicker leggings with a really light sweatshirt material on the inside. They don't add much bulk, if anything they are less lumpy then regular leggings. I got 2 pairs of one size fits most to last me thru pregnancy.

Ooo thanks ladies! Definitely want a pair! I second @Mrsmccarthy in asking which brand you would recommend. Ideally I'd like something that doesn't add much bulk (as @youboots mentioned) and has a thick waist band to help keep the post partum pooch tucked in!

I got mine from Walmart, they're something that I replace every year, so I don't want to spend a lot. I actually prefer fleece leggings, so I can wear my own socks...I typically wear them instead of tights with boots.

I got mine from Urban Outfitters - two for $22! I have gray and black. (A ctually, now that I think about it, they're fleece-lined tights, because they have footies built in, but if you're worried about thickness, that might be the way to go!)

I got some at Target last year, 10 bucks I think? I replace them yearly (fading, ect.) so I don't spend a lot. I wear both tights and leggings due to my work. they make me feel like I'm wearing pants with my dresses/skirts.

I LOVE fleece leggings!! I typically get them at TJ Maxx/Marhsalls type places. I have some Anne Klein ones that are really nice. I think I'll try some from Jane since others like them.

I got some (from Jane, actually) a few weeks ago. They are comfy and cozy--what more could I ask for? With shipping costs, it worked out to be about $10/pair.
