Does your toddler call certain things the wrong things?
T now calls his elbow his rainbow and I can't help but laugh when he says it.

mommy = my
daddy = die
we use the Chinese word for dad - baba and he gets that right. When he was calling me "my" I'm like that's weird what would he say for daddy? and then "die" came out we laughed and said good thing we go with the Chinese version!

Yellow is Lellow. I love when she says that!
She also says "help you!" when she means help me. It cracks me up.

@sunny: My daughter also says "help you". I think it's because I'm always saying "can I help you?" and because when we show her herself in a mirror we say "that's you!" So she has her pronouns mixed up!

When he wants to be carried up the stairs, he says "I carry you up Mama." I can't bring myself to correct him yet because it's just so cute!

Please = peace
I love you = I dub ya
Give me = gimme baby (she refers to herself as baby). So we're trying to stop calling her baby and just her name now

My 2 year old also says "help you" instead of "help me" but my current favorite is that say says "no please" instead of "no thank you!" We get A LOT of "no please" these days-- definitely better than a straight up no though!

Bussy for Bus and Shooook for her friend Luke.
Oh, and Szzooop for Soup....we may have helped her with that one, though.

@shopaholic: D will rarely identify an animal by the name, it's always by the sound. With the exception of the sheep at the Fair last week, which he kept running up to going, "hi, cow...moo!" then running off and giggling.
@loveisstrange: I called my stuffed animals my buddies when I was little.
I said this on another post the other day, but it kills me. Our cat's name is Padfoot, but D is *insistent* on calling her Ahwah. No idea where it came from.
