I'm starting my five week old on cloth diapers. He seams to get more fussy when I put them on versus disposables. My husband thinks he doesn't like sitting in them as much as they are less absorbent.
Did anyone else have issues when going from wearing disposables all day to cloth? Did your LO get over the transition well?

my dd was super sensitive to being wet when she was little. I found with cloth we had to change more often and we couldn't use them for naps or nighttime because she'd wake up. She's still in the them now at a year, but not a naps or nighttime. She is way less fussed with wetness now.

What kind of cloth are you using? You can look at a flannel insert to help wick away moisture if needed.

Yeah, we had some difficulties - every time he peed he'd start to cry. He got over it within about a week.

Mine doesn't notice a difference at all, but we started at a week old, so maybe that is irrelevant? All of our options are"stay dry" though.... pockets and AIOs.

Thanks for the input ladies. Right now I have him in all bum genius diapers. He is 5 weeks, so the fussiness could be another growth spurt as well, but the fussiness seams to happen after changes. Hopefully he'll get used to it.

@peaches1038: I think so, although he just hit 9 lbs, so they look huge on him. He seams to be doing better though, so maybe he was just having a bad morning.
