Help! I need ideas for a birthday party this weekend...as in one week after Christmas. She will be turning 3. I have no clue what she has for toys and I only ever shop for boys. What would you do? Gift card? Or is there something fun that it doesn't matter if she already has it? Maybe some Legos?

Could you ask her mom if she got anything for Christmas you could build upon? Such as princess things you could add too or Duplo blocks. Another HUGE hit with my daughter (and nieces/cousins at Christmas) were MagicClip princesses, they kept the girls entertained for about an hour at our holiday celebration.

Sitckers or craft sets! Something that they can do (as an activity) and then throw it away!

Also you could do a fun bath gift basket. Some fun bubble bath, bath crayons, a new towel, and a toy.

We're invited to a 4th bday next weekend and they asked for books since they are over saturated with toys.

Does anyone have this book? Thinking it might go with the second gift. I've never seen it before so I'm not sure how popular it is/likely that they have it.

As a mom with a kid with a birthday 9 days before Christmas, I'd treat it just like I would a birthday in June! I tend to gift very simply and "above age" with things like story cards and alphabet spot it. I like Fat Brain Toys and Hearthsong for inspiration.
I love those two options from Green Toys, I might put those on my list for gift giving this year.

Gift cards or experiences like museum membership. Or something extremely simple like one book. If they're like most people, they might be feeling inundated with stuff right now!
