We haven't bought DS's big gift from us/ Santa. Any recommendations? He'll be 11.5 months. His birthday is in January, so looking for some ideas for both occasions!

C got a ride on music toy for her first birthday that she still LOVES at 16 months. We have this one:

Dd was 12 months last Christmas and we got her a play piano and a tunnel/tent ... She still plays with both daily! Another popular gift was a toddler trampoline ... She played with that daily until she out grew it a month or two ago!

My son turns one 4 days before Christmas! We bought for his birthday a large stuffed teddy bear and a ride on train. For Christmas we bought this Elephun toy:

My LO will be 8 months at Christmas. MIL is getting him the fisher price laugh & learn chair. FIL is getting him a ride on toy--I wanted the cozy coupe but I don't think they ended up going with that one. I got him his first Legos (duplos). I want to get him some of the B toys musical instruments for his bday in April.

We got DS the VTech Sit/Stand Walker and one of the Ikea Play Tunnels along with some clothes that he will need for the next year. We're also doing a stocking with some pouches, socks, etc.

DS is loving the cozy coupe and play kitchen he got for his birthday last month. He also got a play tent which he thinks is fun to crawl in and out of, and I got him balls to make it a ball pit for Christmas. I hope he thinks that's pretty fun :). The tent and the balls pack up pretty small so we can put them away or take them out easily.

Does he have the B. Toys Zany Zoo activity cube or instrument set? Those are two of my favorites! You can get them from Target or Amazon.

Zany zoo, anything musical, and LO loves his lil quad ride on 4-wheeler he got for his 1st birthday!

We got LO a shopping cart. She loves pushing it around and putting stuff in. A little people's farm was a big hit too. And puzzles and megablocks. And books. Actually, there wasn't a toy she didn't love.

@Grace: my niece has a shopping cart and loves it!! I'm going to look into that, as well as blocks and a ride-on toy.
