DH and I been starting to gather together a long list of names that we like. I'm currently using Baby Center to keep track of them all, but it's really impractical how to move names up the list it needs a page refresh each time.
Anyone know of a good app, program or website I could use that one could simply drag and drop the names in order of preference? Extra points if it does stuff like only show only all the girl names, has options to sort alphabetically, ect.

We used old fashioned pen & paper. I would never have thought to look for an app....great idea!

@pui: I kept a REALLY long Google doc going that was shared with my husband (not that he ever contributed, but I wanted to give him the option!). I would just add things to the top with the date and what our most recent thoughts were, so now we can look back and see the evolution of our name list. I was convinced for the longest time that we were having two girls, so over half the list is twin girl pairings. It's funny to see the change in the list once we knew it was one of each!

Count me as another iPhone note user. I love looking back at how our preferences changed, particularly once we were actually pregnant and knew we were having a girl. Our names weren't nearly so out there after that!

I used the iPhone notepad too. VERY convenient and easy to use, and I could access it in seconds when on the go. I still have it

@pui: Wunderlist is a great app. I use it for all my lists now. You can drag and drop the order. You can even pull the lists up on a computer and view on there. It's great. I love it.
It's not baby specific but it works.
I had to switch to something else when the iphone notes app started deleting some of my notes. Very aggrevating. Turns out it was a yahoo notes & iphone sync issue. I think I fixed it but wunderlist is so much better for lists.

I just used the stickies application on my macbook, not very high tech, same functionality as a spreadsheet or word doc

If that doesn't work for me, I think I'll just use a Google doc spreadsheet so that I can edit both on my phone and my desktop.

Baby bump! It lets u look through the list by popularity or just search for a name and then u can add it to your favorites. I have the pro version but I think the free one should have it too hopefully!
Eta u can sort names any way u want by dragging and it keeps boy and girl names separate. I didn't see a way to alphabetize it automatically tho.

I have a list of favorites started on Nameberry. But I agree, it can be hard to keep it all straight!

I just used the notes app on my iPad! Though we didn't have many contenders so it wasn't hard to keep track!

@bluestriped bee: It's actually been very useful! I haven't actually used it for names, but I've been using it for other lists like things I need to buy/do. It's nice having an app for that lol!
