My kid has taken to randomly hugging DH lately. DH was very happy, until he discovered that DS is also wiping his nose on his trousers at the same time...

L is going through some big tantrums lately and they produce a lot of saliva and snot. He LOVES to give me hugs after a tantrum and bury his face into my shoulder/neck/hair.

DS has a cold and is super snotty, he also has ear tubes so basically there are boogers coming out of his nose AND his ears.

Gave myself a mental trophy the night I was woken up by a shower of vomit and didn't freak out.
Poor J was sick and crawled into my bed to tell me. Hands down the grossest thing I've ever experienced.

H projectile vomited on me when she had croup. I hate vomit, and the fact that I didn't cry means that I deserve a medal.

My LO got norovirus last week. I got puked on. A lot. And not baby puke like she used to have. Gross formula/solid food puke. blechhhhhhhh.

I had to dump/scrub a huge load of warm poop out of underwear yesterday when LO had an upset tummy....and insisted that the undies she had an accident in were her very favorite and asked tearfully if they were ruined. ::Sigh::
At least DD2 was in her high chair at the time and couldn't go toilet fishing (a favorite activity of hers) while this was happening.

@CakeLady: oh gross. I have no idea how tubes work and now I'm even more confused. Hahaha.

Middle of the night projectile poops when LO was a newborn. All over the bed, furniture, and carpet. Gross gross gross.
coconut / 8079 posts
Worst so far has been a large poop in the bathtub. And DH wasn't there so I had to get LO out, cleaned up, dressed, and then finally get the mess cleaned up.

@mediagirl: ear tubes allow fluid that would build up behind the ear drum and create pressure, pain, and infection to pass through.

Being projectile vomited on for 6 days straight while my reflux baby had a stomach bug. Gross!
@mediagirl: HAHA - I had that happen the other night....

@PinkElephant: oh man. I think I would have just said "Uh, yup...they're goners."
@catlady: How exactly do you clean up after that one!?
This mom to be is scared now! lol

Being puked on was probably the worst but that has only happened once, so I'm grateful for that. We had just cleaned her all up after puking all over her crib, I was holding her to settle her before putting her back to bed. All over me. I just stood there and called out "I need help!"
More recently she pooped in the tub several times. But at least they were mostly solid.

I was holding my standing DS, then 8 months, in his tub on the sink when he started to make the poop face. So I held him in one arm while the other hand caught the poops. Throwing them into the toilet as they came out.

@TheSwissWifeStyle: Normal baby wipes to wipe off furniture, normal laundry cycle for the bedding, and clorox wipes for the carpet! After it happened a bunch of times, we also just learned to keep a towel nearby and essentially hold it up like a shield if she started doing it. Lol.

Leaning over and calmly catching my child's vomit in my hands so that it wouldn't soil someone else's carpet.

One night when he was about 18 months I heard him cough but he settled right back down so I didn't go in there. When I went to get him in the morning I opened the door and the smell of vomit and poop hit me. My poor guy had vomited and then slept in it! He also had diarrhea (luckily that all stayed in the diaper!). I got him and and took him to the bathroom to give him a bath. As he is standing in the tub he vomits again. I take him out to clean the tub and he starts pooping all over the bathroom floor. I quickly throw him in the now clean tub so at least the poop is contained. It was a crazy morning. And of course DH was out of town. I finally got us all cleaned up and he was fine the rest of the day. Although it took 3-4 washed to get the vomit smell out of his hair.

When she was a couple months old, she went like a week without pooping. Finally did, and it was the blowout to end all blowouts. My parents were visiting and it took my mom, me, and DH to clean it up. We drew a bath so we could get DD cleaned up, put her in, and...turned out she wasn't finished. And since it was EBF poo, it basically dissolved instantly into the water. It was...ugh. Just ugh.

E had a stomach flu a few months ago, and I was thrown up on three times, and he threw up in both cars. And the grossest part was that he was SO upset about it, and wanted to be held, so I did, while we were both covered in puke because he's my baby and he needed a hug.
Also, one of the times he threw up on me he was sitting on the toilet with diarrhea. I felt so bad for him!

L threw up in the car on my first solo road trip with both kids...after he had 3 eggs for breakfast.

My husband was carrying dd to the tub last night when she farted on his arm. He didn't realize until he put her in the tub she had sharted all over him! Lol. Then continued to poop in the tub! Poor sick babe!
I also got thrown up on more times this week then one would ever want to! Projectile down the shirt every morning.

A few weeks ago, trying to take LO's temp rectally, and then poop started oozing out onto my fingers. Lovely!

Was holding my infant during a Skype call with my parents and noticed that my leg was getting warm. During the last diaper change I hadn't ensured that the ruffles were outside the leg holes. DS had an enormous poo that leaked out his diaper, all down his leg, puddled in his foot bottoms, and leaked out somewhere along the seam onto my pants. We both had a bath/shower after the initial cleanup, but mine didn't get to happen for over 2 hrs!
Also, when DH was changing our son a few days ago, he called out to me. DS had peed in his own mouth (which I honestly laughed at - such a bad mom!) and was screaming his head off. Not actually gross towards me, but gross for the baby!

@Astro Bee: My son peed in his eye once...
@KT326: we had the nighttime vomit/fall back asleep thing happen the night after our daughter's first birthday. Her vomit was multicolored (but mostly blue) from all the frosting on her smash cake!

@reyorra: @KT326: Mystery vomit has happened to us twice now. I still have no idea when in the night it happened.

So many puke stories! DD1 puked so much on me once as a newborn (she puked a lot every day--reflux, but this was different), that she soaked my 3 layers of tops, and pants through to my skin, and the couch and blanket I was using while nursing her. When she was about 1.5 yrs she got a UTI that caused her to vomit curdled milk repeatedly, all over me, the living room, the path to the bathroom, and herself.
DD2 hasn't been a huge puker, but she's the one that decided pooping in the bath is fun, and has done that quite a few times.

Most recent gross things:
DS#1 used a rainboot to drink from a puddle full of rainwater and mud
DS#2 ate his own poo. That's what I get for not getting him right away when he wakes up in the morning!

- Fishing poop out of the bathtub
- Cleaning poop that got smeared on bedsheets
- Projectile vomited on - that bile smell is atrocious
- Found DS in his crib covered in blood - he had a bloody nose and smeared it all over himself, the crib, his face/hair/arms... it looked like something out of a horror movie
- Getting snot wiped on me
- Picking boogers out of their noses with my bare hands
- Getting peed on in the mouth and eyes
@MamaBehr: He ATE his own poop?! Omg...

DH was changing DD's diaper when she peed all over the table and him. He didn't have another diaper handy, so he picked her up bare bottomed and started walking with her across the house to get one. Of course, DD started pooping but he didn't notice, and they left a trail of baby poop all over the first floor of our house.

@Mrs. High Heels: It was disgusting! His hands were brown and he had brown spit around his mouth. And, I'm in my first trimester. It was a rough morning! Luckily, he didn't get sick or have any side effects. Hopefully he learned his lesson

Wait, how did no one mention this?? THE SNOT SUCKER! You must really love someone when you will literally suck the snot out of their face. Dh won't even do it, the most he would do was help hold her down.
