Totally Grover! I love Grover! Elmo just annoys me with his voice and he's a total Johnny-come-lately! I dread when LO discovers him and falls in love. Maybe I should start some pre-emptive pro-Grover moves early?

I love Grover! Honestly, Elmo was always my least favorite, his voice and grammar always annoyed me a bit. I will definitely attempt to steer my future children toward Grover and the others over Elmo

I loved Grover when I watched Sesame Street. He was my favorite along with the Count.

Haha. I just mentioned this to the DH the other day. Why did they decide to push Elmo into the spotlight and ignore all the other Muppets? I don't think Elmo was anybody's favorite back in the day but now all the kids have been brainwashed to love Elmo.

@Boogs: I always loved Snuffy, too, and had to google to make sure that they did not kill him off because they never show him anymore. He is alive and well...just not on the show very much.

Grover all the way. Elmo is the only muppet that regularly makes me want to punch him. I can't figure out why kids love him so much.

I feel like Cookie Monster has gotten the shaft recently, as well. Bring back the old muppets from our days!! I named my first car Grover. I vote Grover for sentimental reasons. Also, Elmo's voice makes my ears bleed.

My boy loves off Elmo, and honestly don't know where it came from. Everytime he sees him, it's "El-mo!". I personally loved Grover growing up. I guess it's just a generational thing. We're trying to get him to like Grover as well. He just started saying "Cookie" or "Ki-Ki"... so adorable.

Aww, I forgot about Grover! He really is pretty cute...

My favorites were definiately Grover and the Cookie Monster... but then again my favorite color is blue so I could be biased. =)

@themcmom: That much have been the cutest costume ever, and so clever because I've never seen it!

@themcmom: Me too! It would have gone perfectly with my LO and his cousins, they were Oscar, Elmo, and Cookie Monster. I need to learn how to sew for future costumes that's for sure!

I always feel bad for Grover because he got pushed out by Elmo! But, like you said, DS loves Elmo. He is getting more open to other characters now though, so maybe, like you, Grover can make a come back!
