I had EWCM earlier this week around the time I suspected I would ovulate (I don't chart temps) and tonight I had A LOT of EWCM. Has anyone else experienced this?

Are you sure you already Oed and that you're not gearing up to now, maybe later than usual?

Are you using OPKs or anything else? It's pretty normal to have more than one patch of EWCM before O, but not to have it after O.
Also - is it true EWCM (stretches more than an inch?) or could it be leftover swimmers?

@whenoceansrise: I have gotten it before. For me, it's a sign AF is around the corner.

@LindsayInNY: That's what I think maybe it is. Time to BD some more!

@septca: Nope. Not using OKPs. It's definitely not leftover swimmers. I'm just pretty in tune with my cycle, but maybe I'm ovulating later than normal?

@littlek: I've never experienced it before. Hopefully it's not a sign of AF! Especially since AF isn't due for awhile.

I also got a BFP after lots of post-O EWCM. I also did not get a BFP after a similar month, but I had less the month of the bfn.

I got tons of EWCM starting about 5 days after ovulation that continued...and I got a BFP that cycle. The cycle before, I had very little after O, so I suspected something was up.

This cycle I had a tone of EWCM for several days and I thought I was having it after O, but according to my OPKs I Od later than I thought. It subsided shortly after the OPK was positive.

I've heard of stories going either way. Last cycle this happened to me and I was just O'ing late. So now anytime I see something that looks remotely like EWCM...I'm going to BD. LOL.

@whenoceansrise: I know this is an old thread, but this just happened to me. I was using clear blue opk's, got the smiley face and all other signs when I ovulate. Now a week later, EWCM. So weird. Was it a pregnancy sign for you?

@brady80: not during this cycle BUT I did get pregnant the very next cycle! Fingers crossed for you!!

I had a lot more cm this month than any other I can remember. I'm 35 and we've been ttc for about a year. I had a m/c in Sept. and have been trying since--using Fertility Friend, temp'ing, using OPKs, etc. I ovulate on the 14th like clockwork but because of my age, I wanted to get a little more aggressive. My Dr put me on 50 mg of Clomid days 5-9 this cycle, which I read dries things up, so I took Mucinex days 12-16. I noticed a wicked increase in cm on 5-9DPO. I can't imagine the Mucinex is stil in my system but I took a hpt on 8, 9 and 11DPO (today) and they were all bfn. I've read that the increase could equally be an early pregnancy sign and a sign that AF is coming. So stressful!!!

@Susan1979: Just saw this, so sorry for the late reply. I believe I got my BFP on 11 dpo.

Ahh! This is where I'm at and since I'm not charting, I guess I just have to wait to see if it's a sign of AF to come or an early pregnancy sign. Based on when I saw EWCM, I think I'm 5-7 DPO. Planning on testing Tuesday.
