LOs will be trying tofu today.
I picked up my first bag of frozen edamame. (I thought I could buy them fresh but my sister told me they are usually found frozen. I had no idea.)

yes she loves tofu. I press out all the water and then cut it into chunks, marinade it and bake it. so its has a firm chewy texture

My LO semi-tried edamame but wasn't super interested unfortunately. I've never made tofu at home, but he might try it! He's had Quorn (fake chicken nuggets - I'm obsessed.) and didn't notice a difference!

Yes, my one year old liked edamame when we went out for sushi for her bday. It makes poop smell awful-hahah.

Yes to both and she loves both- however edamame is not great for the next day's diaper

She seemed to like edamame at a sushi restaurant, but wasn't that impressed when I steamed some at home this week. Ahhh well... I'll be happy to eat them. Lol

My LO like edamame, but I have to peal the little outside for her! hahaha

I eat a lot of tofu so she's had it. Edamame makes me really gassy/stomache-y (tmi? lol) so we rarely have it, I don;t think she has had it

We went for Japanese last summer and B was getting antsy waiting for food so I picked the tofu out of my miso soup and gave it to him, and he loved it! He gobbled up the tofu out of everybody's soup. I don't like it, though, so he hasn't had it since.

Both girls love edamame, neither have tried tofu...honestly I don't think I've ever tried tofu either.

@bluestriped bee: reminds me I forgot to buy edamame at the store today!
@GoGoSnoGirl: I also like it better from a restaurant! I'll eat it both ways though
@erinbaderin: that's how my son tried it too! He loves miso soup now.

No neither, we don't usually eat either of those things in our house.

@bluestriped bee: DD tried edamame at a sushi place last week, she ate a couple but then got distracted eating shrimp instead
The girl loves her some tofu. My SO buys the dessert tofu for her, she love the mango and taro ones the best. We just keep an eye on how much sugar is in it.

She's had both but edamame only at restaurants. She loves silken tofu in miso soup.

They both love edamame. They've had tofu in miso soup when we're out to eat, but not since.

Both. She loves edamame but if she even agrees to try a bite of tofu, she spits it right back out. It must be a texture thing because it doesn't matter what flavor sauces or spices are on it.

DH and I joke that our LO could win an edamame eating contest. We haven't tried tofu.

Both little ones like edamame but I don't like tofu so I've never offered it

3 year old- both. Tofu in miso soup was her first non-purée food.
10 month old- I think he's had tofu, but I can't be sure!

Yes for both - in fact those are two foods that DS would certainly eat while we were on our 2 week japan trip! That and rice

Yes for both, but they don't eat much of either when I make them.

Yes for LO1 but no for LO2 (allergic to soy). Poor LO2. He misses out on so many yummy Asian foods.
