@kiddosc: It was recommended by her pediatrician she get two doses, possibly because we did (shamefully) miss her being vaccinated last year. It was a string of bad timing with colds and out of stock vaccines that kept delaying and delaying her appointments to get it. Then it was spring and we just decided to forego.
I'll probably double check again *just* to be sure since she was vaccinated every year prior when eligible.

@lindseykaye: We skipped a year or two with my oldest and he didn't have to get two doses the next time. I would double check on that for sure. I'm pretty sure it is just the very first time they get it that they need two doses.

I don t fit into your poll. It’s half and half at our house. My daughter and I had the vaccine (first time for both of us), but my husband opted out.
I’m due with our second in January so I wanted as much protection as we could get for the kids especially since #1 will still go to daycare 1 or 2 days a week after baby comes.

Thanks to this thread (seriously, I wouldn’t have done it otherwise) the whole family just got back from having it done. Shots for the adults, mist for the kids. I don’t know if the 2 year old got the full dose - he didn’t totally grasp the idea of sniffing in - but some has got to be better than none!
